  1. I've been watching the game and not on here, so I am expressing my consent right now: Crede anb Jiminez got all of those balls Zambrano chucked to them. Garland did a great job on the mound today. As we speak, the Scrubs just got a sac fly, 2-1 Sox. Sox have been playing well and it all looks good going into the glorious March 31, 2003 day against the Royals. GO SOX !!!!
  2. Well, this doesn't sound major........but lets cross our fingers anyway. True. Whenever a White Sox player is injured, though, we here at SoxNet always wish them for a healthy and speedy recovery.
  3. I was reading the Chicago Tribune this Saturday morning, and when I got to the sports section, right there, front and center was an article on the Sox and their recent problems with Mr. Wright. Dan Wright has been having some real problems so far this Pre-Season. He has pitched 3 and 1/3 innings while giving up 10 runs and 11 hits. Now, finally, the White Sox finally know why Wright is having such trouble: An inflamed throwing arm. His right arm has been experiencing some pain as of late and he won't pitch for at least 4 games until Tuesday. White Sox pitching coach, Don Cooper, had said: "If Wright can't pitch by late this week, we'd have to re-evaluate him. Hopefully taking the time now will stop him from losing any days after this." Let's wish Wright a healthy and speedy recovery.
  4. Look at my quote! That will be Pinella in a good 3 to 5 seasons :D !!!!
  5. You can never have too many good pitchers. We've already got one guy hurting (Wright). Seems to be minor, but at this point who knows? Too many good pitchers is never a bad thing. Look at the Yankees for example. 7 starters!? They can't be upset with them cause they signed them all and none of them are flat out horrible. Our pitching staff is looking really bright coming into the regular season.
  6. I hope to see this a lot in the regular season.
  7. Did it get us to the WS like Schueler and JR had planned. Nope. Did any of those players do anything for us in the 2000 playoffs? Nope. Has Koch done anything in a White Sox uniform? Nope. When you find a positive (other than having Foulke and trading him for Koch) to the WFT, let me know. None of those players have gotten the Sox to the WS. More than likely, Alvarez and Co. wouldn't have either. So until I see some results, and we have none of the players currently from the nucleus of the WFT, this goes down as a Worst Day in White Sox History. CubKilla, as I have said before, If there was an icon of a smiley clapping I would post it hear applauding this statement. Until Koch shows us something in the regular season, he has still the same amount for the White sox that ALvarez or Darwin has. So, I applaud you... CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP!
  8. Ventura was my favorite player of the Sox in my time of living; in term my time of being a White Sox fan (1987-Present). I really liked his attitude and, despite no being able to hit much over .270 on an average season, I liked his power and his heart that he put into ever play. He was a great defensive third baseman and that was something I had always admired in him. It was terrible the day they announced he was going to the Met's. Every time we play the Yankee's, I give him the respect he deserves whenever he steps up to the plate. I miss him hear on thw Whitw Sox and I am sure many others do as well.
  9. I'm going to be dying of laughter if the Scrubs can't beat the White Sox when most of their minor league staff is pitching and up to the plate. I'm going to laugh even harder if their team consists mostly of their major leaguers. What a game that is going to be !!
  10. Gulp. Who wrote that? Haven't seen the article, but it wouldn't suprise me if Scot Gregor wrote it....he can be a bit optimistic at times....25 wins in 33/34 starts would be one helleva accomplishment...can happen, but I think realistically the best we can hope for is a solid 20... ....lets not go crazy... We all know that Bartolo Colon is an excellent pitcher capable of many things. I don't think this new change-up will propel Colon all the way to 25-wins this season. I'll stick with 20 as well. We'll have to see how well he does after about a month of the season until we can make a pretty good judgement as where Colon will be in the W-coulmn come September.
  11. Loaiza will have to prove in this game if he is capable of running the 5-spot. Actually, he is very capable, we will have to see how well he does compared to Rauch. It is Rauch vs. Loaiza in my opinion for the Sox number 5 spot.
  12. The White Sox offense is always awake !!!
  13. Oakland, definetley. I'd like to see how Foulke is fairing when we go over there. We'll put Koch in in the 9th and we'll really show what Oakland gave up. Oh, they will be regreting it, but who cares, it benefits the immortal Chicago White Sox !!!!!
  14. If there was an icon of a smiley applauding, I would post it regarding this quote. But there is not; so....... CLAP CLAP CLAP CLAP!!
  15. Nice article. It's hard not to pull for a guy that returns from a devastating injury like that. Hopefully he'll live up to the potential that he once had. He may never be as good as he was before injury, but he will always be a great middle infielder. I can't wait to see him on the White Sox staff for a full year. Great addition to the bat and the glove.
  16. Ask us this question again in two years !
  17. Yeah, if Beurhle doesn't get a pay raise and fast, he won't want to stay. I mean a capable 20-Game winner should not be making less than 100,000 dollars a year. I'd be on the warpath if I was him.
  18. The kid is an animal! In the future, he will be one of those players in a video game like Michael Joran was in NBA Jam '95. In that particular video game, Jordan was so good in real life, that they decided it would be unfare to put him in the game. Instead, he was a secret character you got if you won the NBA Finals. Yeah, in 4 years, Borchard will be a hidden character in World Series Baseball 2K8, and you only get him if you beat the World Series (with the White Sox of course )!!
  19. All these games the White Sox won were godly. Any of these games I would love to see a repeat of or better in the '03 season. It's too hard to pick just one!
  20. Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday dear Brett, Happy Birthday to you! Have a great Birthday !!
  21. Oh, he is figthing; he is figthing like Mike Tyson. He sure is fighting.
  22. Yeah, that looked like the bomb that Barry crushed in game two of the World Series against Percival. Both of those were crank shots. Yeah, I also wish the Cubs made another stupid mistake by trading an amazing prospect like Prior to us like they did with Garland.
  23. Why are you all looking at Colon?!? Who cares? He's fat we all know. Look at Clement though!!! That so looks like an action figure. That is disturbing. I am going to have nightmares now. Stupid Matt Clement looking like plastic! See what the Cubs do to innocent people. Sons of b****es.... :fyou !
  24. I'm starting to get this feeling, that Joe may force his way onto this team out of ST. JM said, however, that he won't be an the opening say roster unless he does absolutley phenominal in spring training. Well, he looks very good to me so far in the three games the Sox have played so far. I would'nt be surprised to see him in the Sox outfield on either opening day, or, if not that day, very, very soon.
  25. That is either a very bad shot or from PS2. The game is called World Series Baseball 2k3. This is a pic from Xbox: That is a very high quality picture. XBOX kicks PS2's ass any day. In the end though, baseball games totally rule all. But the best baseball game ever, though, is none other, than Big Hurt Baseball '95 for Super Nintendo !!!
