  3. QUOTE (Reddy @ May 17, 2009 -> 03:14 PM) And I don't think you could base a war off Plato quotes. oh i'm sure they could
  4. QUOTE (Rex Kicka** @ May 17, 2009 -> 06:01 PM) Or the "party of no" thread no
  5. QUOTE (lostfan @ May 16, 2009 -> 02:02 PM) Well it's kind of hard to campaign from China. Being a diplomat is not really the best place to go for politics. It doesn't rule out anything he can do later though. someone else can take the post i see the Obama crew really thinks this is some amazing bipartisan move, so i don't think anything will change their minds.
  6. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 16, 2009 -> 01:00 PM) Because this was a guy who could have legitimately made some noise in 2012 as an outside-the-box candidate for the Republican nomination...someone who isn't of the Palin/Huckabee/Romney mold and who actually might bring a differing set of policies. It's far less likely that he'll run in 2012 now. But this could set him up with stronger credentials in 2016. if wants to run he will. this still doesn't mean anything.
  7. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 16, 2009 -> 07:49 AM) I'm sure they'll find a reason to completely dismiss this. Honestly, it should be dismissed. Who cares?
  8. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ May 14, 2009 -> 09:46 PM) Who is going to be accountable for this? This kid's dumber at 14 than most people are 45. http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=66038
  9. the GOP is basically f***ed for a while. Being the party of Sarah Palin, Sean Hannity, outsourcing, AIG, IRAQ war, and everything else they think is 'good'... not good. ouch.
  10. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ May 14, 2009 -> 09:24 PM) Oh yeah. Forgot that was your sarcastic friend. haha is that Limbaugh in the clown paint? it's classic
  11. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 14, 2009 -> 07:36 PM) Hey, Tex, WTF is up with this? A log on screen? I agree, that is messed up. Screw you, NY Times.
  12. http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/Anti-Ob...how/4525924.cms take THAT president Obama. "Buffalo has buffaloes" that is probably the best protest slogan i've ever heard.
  13. anyone play NBA 2k9 online?
  14. QUOTE (lostfan @ Apr 28, 2009 -> 10:05 AM) I don't think so. It's not necessarily effective with everyone though. oh you don't think it's torture huh. so i guess that means you are now volunteering to have bright lights and loud music outside your home at all times. *ends Olbermann like logic*
  15. haha nice thread name change
  16. For me to vote Republican 1) no more of this bank bailout crap 2) cut spending, even defense 3) ditch evangelicals 4) stop corporate welfare 5) be more protectionist. 6) bribes. they take too many and are for sale For me to vote Democrat 1) transparency. the democrats do way too much in secret deals 2) bribes. they take too many and they are for sale. 3) solutions that don't always involve complaining, whining, raising taxes, and blaming everyone else. 4) no more race baiting. i'm not going to go along with their policy of divide everyone by race and fight 5) stop committing voter fraud.
  17. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ May 12, 2009 -> 10:39 PM) The Sox unloaded their farm system for Robbie Alomar and Carl Everett. about f***ing time
  18. QUOTE (shipps @ May 12, 2009 -> 07:36 PM) Well I am sorry you feel that way...very very sorry.
  19. A couple weeks ago, I read a WSJ article from 1982 about what a jerk Reagan was for not being enough of a free trader. They were appauled that he dared demand that Japan produce cars in the US and hire US workers if they were goign to sell here. A lot of talk of him being a 'protectionist'. Low and behold his ways were correct. was a very interesting read.
  20. http://finance.yahoo.com/news/White-House-...99183.html?.v=8 yea!
  21. QUOTE (South Side Fireworks Man @ May 10, 2009 -> 11:24 AM) That's because KC and the other teams don't talk about it, they just do it. The Sox always have to talk about it in the media first so then the umpires are just waiting for them to even throw close. agreed. they just need to keep their mouths shut and if needed do what they need to do.
  22. I like the pitch, I don't like Jenks admitting to it. Would have been better for the team if he said "pitch slipped. oops". no reason to get suspended if you don't have to.
  23. QUOTE (Texsox @ May 10, 2009 -> 06:26 PM) Graduation grats Texsox.
  24. QUOTE (shipps @ May 10, 2009 -> 03:36 PM) plus KW is now ripping off babies that greedy bastard
