Frank Thomas: I could be the White Sox hitting coach.
QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 25, 2011 -> 02:30 PM) How so? McGwire was always known as a great teammate. Frank...not so much In the history of coaching, no one who was an asshole was ever any good at it. Is this what I am to take from your point?

Anything that put Frank in a Sox uniform again would make me happy. If Big Mac can do it, then the Big Hurt could certainly do it.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 25, 2011 -> 01:41 PM) The response to that of course is straightforward. Win the damn AL Central. Yeah, it's not like the White Sox did anything to build off the momentum of their World Series Championship. Many bad moves produced a very poor post-2005 record, which in effect killed anything they earned with that Championship. People care and fans are created through success.

2011 Cubs Thread
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 25, 2011 -> 12:52 PM) LOL, says the guy repeatedly posting in a Cubs thread on a Sox board. It's baseball news. I post about Sons of Anarchy and Breaking Bad on a Sox board. I posted about the f***ing Florida Panthers earlier today. Theo Epstein is big news, and I'm able to look at this situation as a baseball fan, and not a Cubs hater... unlike you. The thing is... this isn't overblown. This is a huge hiring by the Cubs and obviously grabs national attention because Theo, deservedly or not, gets credit for the Red Sox breaking their own version of a stupid curse.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 25, 2011 -> 12:00 PM) He leads the team in TD receptions and is tied for second in total reception for WR's. He's not exactly dog food. Bennett is obviously missed and Dane should be taking a seat, but I would rather have him there in the slot and put EB on the outside instead of Devin drops alot. This. This, please.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 25, 2011 -> 11:57 AM) Blah blah blah. I sleep next to a Cubs fan every night dude, I dont care. But you clearly do care, as you posted about caring in the post I quoted. It's all good, but you clearly cannot look at the Cubs without that inner Cubs rage flowing.

2011 Cubs Thread
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 25, 2011 -> 11:42 AM) I think the pure stupidity of Cubs fans is ridiculous in this situation. Caring about the stupidity of Cubs fans should have left your complex with your teenage years. There are idiot Cubs fans, there are idiot Sox fans, there are idiot ballet fans. Choosing to listen and/or care about their opinion is where your complex lies. There are smart Cubs fans who know this isn't an overnight thing. However, going from Hendry to Theo can't be anything but good, only because it proves the Cubs and Ricketts will absolutely spend to try to win in the future.

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Oct 25, 2011 -> 10:12 AM) but I still want to get Rage. Rage got really disappointing reviews. I rented it and it wasn't very impressive. If you're into online shooters and 12 year olds calling you a "f**got newb", then go Battlefield, because that's the cream of the crop from what I've read.

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 25, 2011 -> 11:10 AM) Well they cant tear down wrigley, so they would have to build it somewhere else. Immediately they lose ALL of their tourist fan base. They could absolutely do what the Red Sox did with Fenway to bring it to the 21st century.

QUOTE (DBAHO @ Oct 25, 2011 -> 06:34 AM) Rockstar announces Grand Theft Auto V, trailer out on November 2nd. Very, very good time to be a gamer right now. The wife finally caved on my ever not playing video games. We're in a generation where games absolutely are not for kids... they are interactive media and storytelling, and it's fantastic. I'll be playing games until I'm 80.
