This has been the most enjoyable basketball season of my entire life. Derrick Rose is MY player, dammit. I was 8 years old when the Bulls won in 91. I grew up knowing the Bulls as great. Jordan always "was". I stuck with the Bulls, like many and few at the same time, through the thin of the post-Jordan era. If I saw him on the street, there's a chance I'd murder E-Rob. Anyway, I am mystified with how great this team has become. It has restored my faith in the game and the NBA system. A well-coached team of "good guys" who buy into the system, behind and up-and-coming home-grown superstar, CAN have the best record in the Eastern Conference. The playoffs are going to be a different beast entirely, but I feel good about this team against anyone. The roster is even deeper than the Lakers, and they all play hard. I cannot wait for the playoffs. Bring me the Pacers.

The Hawks went from having the deepest roster in the league to one that has basically 1.5 lines that scare you on a consistent basis. Hell, their third line last year was better than their 2nd line this year. They've done a great job patching on the fly with injuries and loss of depth (Campoli, Smith have been nice surprises) while some guys we'd hoped would step up haven't yet (I'm looking at you, Stalberg). The biggest key to us in the playoffs is going to be Frolik, who needs to step up and be a key contributor like he was in yesterday's loss. Either way, we're really going to miss Byfuglien in this Canucks series. The 'Nucks are out for revenge, are easily the best team in hockey, and we're half the roster we were last season. We need a minor miracle to win this first series. If the Hawks go anywhere in the playoffs, it will only be because our stars have carried us. If Dunc can step up, take a puck to the mouth and remember how to play defense, we might stand a shot as well. I'm ever an optimist, but even I have to say Canucks in 7.

We need Byfuglien.

See, to me, watching a "handful" of games isn't sufficient enough and squarely puts you in the "stats no watch" group. How anyone could consider themselves a Bulls fan and not take in as much D-Rose as possible (especially given your amount of free time) just offends me. Then chimijg in with stats to say my eyes lie just takes the cake.
