    Japan Tsunami

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 11, 2011 -> 11:34 AM) I dont think those people could really see where the tsunami was coming from. I saw a video where it was closing on places from two sides. Seeing the helicopter video was so sad, those people had no chance This. That water was moving at an incredibly high speed.
  3. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 11, 2011 -> 11:14 AM) Which is why I would rather have him around to use in the 6th, 7th, or 8th innings as games dictate, instead of just the 9th. He's a soldier who has requested his shot and deserves it. I trust in Sale to take over what we lose in Matt for the prior setup innings.
  4. There's quite a few Dr. Phil's up in this message board.

    Japan Tsunami

QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Mar 11, 2011 -> 02:42 AM) This is crazy. Hope the casualties are kept to a minimum. Supposedly more than 100 bodies have washed up on shore... this is terrible.

    Japan Tsunami

QUOTE (kev211 @ Mar 11, 2011 -> 02:40 AM) Yeah I'm in hawaii right now, right on the coast. yay? Edit: with tsunami warnings in effect and sirens blaring Wow, terrible timing, Kev.
  7. Coach Tom Thibodeau said that Carlos Boozer (ankle) would be sidelined between a few days and a week. X-rays Wednesday night were negative and an MRI Thursday revealed no serious damage. Boozer simply has an ankle sprain that is swollen and needs time to heal.
  8. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 9, 2011 -> 08:22 PM) Well i hope we can hold the 2 seed with Booz out Jesus step back from the ledge. It's an ankle injury (confirmed). 2 weeks maximum.
  9. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Mar 9, 2011 -> 08:18 PM) But seriously, the Heat already won Ain't no need to play no games.
  10. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 9, 2011 -> 07:12 AM) Last night was a let down, pure and simple. They have to keep that playoff intensity every night. They let some crappy goals go in... but they also completely dominated play and had multiple chances to tie. It's the NHL, sometimes goaltenders steal one. Vokoun stole that one... and that's because he's a damn capable goaltender.
  11. QUOTE (IlliniKrush @ Mar 9, 2011 -> 12:01 AM) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q5RGnlVPpPI These made me cry and cream myself at the same time. Those are amazing. I really do like the way that edit of Wiedeman's call has become "the" call to get rid of the weirdness of having no idea that the Hawks just won the Cup.
  12. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 8, 2011 -> 07:17 PM) 3-0 Florida after one. Marty Reasoner strikes back for not keeping him. Can't win em all I guess. Might be time to bring Turco in so you can save Corey for tommorrow? In case you tuned out, the Hawks had a nice comeback in the 2nd, and are down 3-2 in the 3rd... they've absolutely dominated the first 7 minutes of the 3rd period and hopefully can get the equalizer.
  13. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Mar 8, 2011 -> 02:19 PM) Wouldn't work. Both do not play off the ball well at all and both are way ball dominant. Rose and Westbrook's usage rates are 32.5 and 31.5, ranking them third and fifth in the league, respectively. Something would seriously have to give. Yeah, it'd be akin to the bumbling power struggle going on in Miami right now.
  14. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Mar 8, 2011 -> 02:17 PM) Per Rotoworld. Tiki Barber has filed the paperwork to officially come out of retirement. He's out of cash. I'd be surprised if there's interest in a 36 year old who's been out of the game as long as he has.

    Gatlinburg

QUOTE (He_Gawn @ Mar 8, 2011 -> 11:08 AM) The lady planned a trip to Gatlinburg next week for spring break. I'll be proposing there at some point, but other than that, what should I definitely do while there? Any restaurants that are can't miss? Thanks Good luck, dude!
  16. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Mar 7, 2011 -> 09:11 PM) Nice prediction, Steve. Korver doing his Mike Miller impersonation. Jeez, some AWFUL shooting tonight. I guess they picked the right night to do it, though!

    2011 TV Thread

QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Mar 7, 2011 -> 06:47 PM) Yeah, I agree. It was good enough that I'll keep watching, but not something that blew my mind. Personally, I can't wait for them to introduce T-Bag into the show. He was soooo good in Prison Break, so i can't wait for the character to return! Hope he becomes a big part of the show, and stays on. Wait, is he actually playing T-Bag?
  18. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Mar 7, 2011 -> 06:20 PM) Even being at home, this seems like the type of game where the Bulls have one of their let downs, hopefully they don't let that happen. Normally I'd agree... but after the Raptors/Hawks games on the road, that won't happen. The buzz in the UC will be electric tonight, the Bulls are feeling good, and no CP3. Bulls by 20+.
  19. QUOTE (ZoomSlowik @ Mar 7, 2011 -> 06:36 PM) I'd be open to re-setting the keepers next year to reconfigure the rosters a bit and give the newer teams a shot at guys they missed. However, last time I suggested that it didn't go over so well. Again. Start a new God damn keeper league if you want new keepers. What's the point in participating in a keeper year after year if they just get reset?
  20. Gee, I wonder if it will end up Stones vs Beatles?
