Referral/Deal Thread
QUOTE (Leonard Zelig @ Mar 22, 2011 -> 10:44 AM) Does anybody know where someone could find a really good lawn care deal for Chicagoland area? Maybe something like 3 fertilizer, 2 weed control applications. Not wanting to pay over $70. http://livingsocial.com/deals/30020?ref=pe...amp;rpi=8593587 Oh, and touche.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 22, 2011 -> 10:16 AM) Take it FWIW, but this is Jesse Rogers comment on it. Of course, we will find out the truth later today I'm sure. @ESPNChiHawks For those asking. This is a statement on Bolland more than sharp. Center is CRUCIAL. Kruger NHL ready compared to rockford centers That would be much better.

Really good lawn care deal for Chicagoland area (had to share)
http://livingsocial.com/deals/30020?ref=pe...amp;rpi=8593587 Click the link above. Some place out of Naperville is offering this deal through the Living Social website. That's literally what I pay for fertilizer alone, and this is applied by pros three times with weed control and seeding. Anyway, I just thought I'd share it.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 22, 2011 -> 09:29 AM) Still nothing on Sharpie, but prospect Marcus Kruger is coming over from Sweden for the last ten games and playoffs. Kid is supposed to be pretty good, could have started the season on the roster. Probably means bad news for Bolland or Sharp. F*CK, that clearly means bad news for Sharp. He's probably done.

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Mar 21, 2011 -> 02:53 PM) I'll just tell you right now that it's not a dream, although there is at least one more season coming. It was just a sub par season, sort of like Sons Of Anarchy was. And unlike SOA, it didn't have a final episode that saved the entire season. Yeah, my Dexter season rankings go... 2-4-1-3 - 5

QUOTE (Soxfest @ Mar 20, 2011 -> 03:59 PM) The Peavy acquisition was a doomed KW move from the start! Agreed... even though I changed your point so I'm basically just agreeing with myself.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 21, 2011 -> 11:50 AM) Adding more capabilities is not what I meant. No sh*t, you skipped over the part of how I am still paying the same bill as I was 8 years ago despite getting all of those capabilities.

How on earth could anyone claim that wireless prices have gone up!?!??! Dear Lord, text messages used to be expensive as s***. I now have a computer in the palm of my hand capable of displaying and delivering limitless data and pay monthly about the same as I did in 2002. Of course, I'm also on Sprint... which makes me a smart person with a smartphone.

U.S. launches airstrikes on Libya
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 21, 2011 -> 11:17 AM) For another comparison, that $81 million spent solely on Tomahawk missiles is larger than the current amount pledged to the Red Cross Japan relief fund. Priorities.

U.S. launches airstrikes on Libya
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 21, 2011 -> 08:10 AM) By the way, I know we're not allowed to talk about it because blowing people up is free we'll pay any price for freedom (under a long list of circumstances), but between launching a couple hundred tomahawk missiles, flying and operating B-2's from Missouri, extra jet fuel/combat pay for the planes involved, and simply moving the resources into the area, this operation has cost at least half a billion dollars so far. There's always money in the banana stand.

Peavy had rotator cuff tendinitis
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 20, 2011 -> 02:06 PM) Ugh. Just as the it sounds like he's gonna be 100%, something else pops up. Great. A healthy Jake Peavy seems to be something of a myth.

QUOTE (Felix @ Mar 18, 2011 -> 08:39 PM) Bulls are REALLY lucky that wasn't called a foul. we will consider that a makeup for the rest of the game since it was the most one-sided officiating job I have ever seen. Great comeback by the Bulls. Rose with icewater in his veins nails 3 free throws to tie it.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Mar 18, 2011 -> 10:31 AM) Not to call you out, but the Bulls were in New Jersey last night and play in Indiana tonight. Does Scalabrine not travel on road trips? I thought he said today (announced it on Waddle & Silvy) but maybe it was this weekend. It does not make the effort less amazing.- 2010-2011 NBA Thread
Brian "White Mamba" Scalabrine, because he missed a shot to get the Bulls 100 points the other night, is going to be at a McDonald's downtown today and is buying Big Mac's for the first 100 folks to show up in Bulls gear. His legend is growing, and this is the most like-able team of all-time.- 2010-2011 NBA Thread

QUOTE (Felix @ Mar 18, 2011 -> 09:11 AM) Couldn't care less, to be honest. Your comment said otherwise. To be 100% honest, Kevin Love is a delight and I was one of his biggest backers coming out of UCLA. I like giving you s*** because you can take it, but I by no means want you to stop posting about the kid. He's not an NBA superstar nor is he a top 10-15-20 talent in the league, but he's a damn fine player and like I've said would make a fantastic secondary player on a playoff team and an even better tertiary player on a championship team. I just love Omer for no reason. I think he has pretty big upside and we saw a sneak peak of it last night. Plus, his teammates clearly love him.- 2010-2011 NBA Thread
QUOTE (Felix @ Mar 18, 2011 -> 08:30 AM) Congrats! He did something that Kevin Love has done (at the very least) 34 times this season. If posting someone's name like that after a double-double is annoying, I'm really sorry. Imagine if I did it like 50 times or something.- 2010-2011 NBA Thread

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Mar 17, 2011 -> 12:08 PM) I'm not just saying this because Clemson is playing well (I can't actually see the game but they are winning) but does anyone else think playing in the play in game will actually be beneficial for teams. People will point to the short rest but you get a game under your belt and get rid of the jitters that comes from playing in the NCAA tourney since you have already won a game. They are not winning.- 2011 Films Thread

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Mar 17, 2011 -> 09:16 AM) i will always wonder what the reaction to Lebron would have been if he would have said "im taking my talents to New York" or "Im taking my talents to Chicago" or "Im taking my talents to NJ" or "im taking my talents to LAC" Would people nationally still think he was a supreme douche? Is the reaction because he chose to be Robin instead of Batman? Is it just the entire process? Would we all be sitting here saying "The Decision was awesome, I loved watching him punk out Cleveland like that" or would we be saying "man, that was cold. I like him a little less right now."? From my post only a few later... My biggest issue is his willful decision to become at worst a 2nd fiddle on someone else's team, and at best the equal to a second Batman. I always saw Lebron as wanting HIS team and wanting HIS legacy. That "decision" basically told me that he really doesn't give a crap about any of that... something that is unheard of when you think of greats like Magic, Bird, Jordan... and in present day Kobe and now what I'm seeing from Durant and Rose. - 2010-2011 NBA Thread
