  1. Well, that certainly was a writeup of the 2011 White Sox roster. Nothing more, nothing less.
  2. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Mar 29, 2011 -> 08:42 AM) I thought it was another guy who did that (EDIT: Marty McSorley I just looked up) Bertuzzi was the guy who almost killed Steve Moore. And not to say he should or shouldn't, but that was 7 years ago. He isn't Matt Cooke bad (especially as a repeat offender), though you could say that one incident was worse than all the stuff Cooke has ever done. FYI, Johnson said in an interview Bertuzzi went to the Hawks locker room, after he was getting worked on and was very apologetic about it. Ha, damn, I totally mixed those two up. That ended Moore's career.
  3. QUOTE (bigruss22 @ Mar 29, 2011 -> 09:07 AM) I am just surrounded by beautiful girls out here in Barcelona, honestly everywhere I look there is a gorgeous woman. pics
  4. Adam Dunn kills sinkerballers. We are facing Fausto Carmona. Adam Dunn it is.
  5. Mark Buehrle is the least of any team's worries. His results are always the same, and luck defines whether he has a "good", "average", or "bad" season to his standards. The law of averages says he's due for a "good" season, so I'm going to predict 17 wins with a 3.64 era.
  6. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Mar 29, 2011 -> 06:29 AM) I still remember him ambushing a player from behind back in 2004 Donald Brashear, and yeah, when you're the guy who hits someone in the head with your stick for absolutely no reason, the NHL needs to come down hard on you. Bye bye, prick. Great win for the Hawks. I loved seeing Hossa net the OT winner in front of the Detroit faithful.

  8. QUOTE (PeavyTime @ Mar 29, 2011 -> 07:57 AM) How about Howard just stops acting like a complete tool to the refs? This. It's not hard.
  9. Fire Greg Walker.
  10. I like this daily posting of a topic that questions a player or the payroll.
  11. Dan LeBetard could be murdered today and I would not care. He made too much an ass of himself last summer.
  12. QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Mar 27, 2011 -> 07:14 PM) This made me laugh: http://espn.go.com/chicago/video/clip?id=6263657 A turd on ESPN who writes for a Miami newspaper; I'm surprised he doesn't like the D-Rose = MVP talk. Watch a f***ing game. That's all I ask from anyone who doubts Rose is the Most Valuable Player in the NBA.
  13. QUOTE (kev211 @ Mar 27, 2011 -> 04:08 AM) I like your avatar better then Bill Simmon's version. Finally someone noticed... and thanks.
  14. Hawks lose, Ducks pass, weak sauce.
  15. 30 points, 17 assists, 12/12 FT F*cking case closed. Thanks to D-Rose for backing up my argument on this board tonight!!
  16. Seriously. This is frustrating. Games get snowed out in Cleveland opening weekend every year. Why doesn't the Tribe start out on the road? Anyway, I'm annoyed.
  17. I think Felix put it correctly when he said the board needs a "contrarian" and he's playing that role. Hopefully he'll tune into some Bulls games soon to see why we all think he's the MVP, but beyond that if he's not going to be swayed by our arguments it's no big deal. It's good discussion.

I really like the Boyd Crowder storyline turn on 'Justified'.
  19. Such a silly conversation for someone who has watched nil Derrick Rose this season to be chiming in so loudly about him and the Bulls. At least when I craft my educated response on Kevin Love, that's got a lot of meat behind it because I watch a lot of NBA Gametime and any late games that are on that network. Seriously, Felix, that's all just weak sauce from you, bro.
  20. QUOTE (JorgeFabregas @ Mar 25, 2011 -> 02:20 PM) It's inaccurate that he's borderline or inaccurate that he's top 20 in the AL? Fangraphs had him at #12 in WAR right behind Danks last year. And Floyd's 2009 WAR was higher than it was in 2010. I really f***ed up quoting that one. Clearly I was getting G-Floyd's back, but sucked at typing.
  21. QUOTE (Felix @ Mar 25, 2011 -> 02:53 PM) If it's the former, then I'm giving the nod to Dwight. He changes everything about the games Orlando plays. Their whole system is built around him offensively, and defensively he shuts off the paint from anyone on the other team. DBAH0 watches the Magic way more than I do, but every time I see them play, there's no doubt to me that Dwight significantly changes how both teams approach the game. How many Bulls games have you watched this year?
  22. QUOTE (Felix @ Mar 25, 2011 -> 02:50 PM) I guess I worded that pretty s***ty. I think the Bulls have been better LATELY, but the Spurs have been the best team in the league OVERALL. Voting awards based on the final two months of play seems stupid to me, so I'd rather use the full season in those situations. Well, yeah, but D-Rose was being talked up as MVP prior to the ASB, and you said the Spurs are better by "quite a bit". You didn't even say "slightly better" or "might be better". So what you did was you typed without having any idea how the Spurs have been playing of late.
  23. QUOTE (qwerty @ Mar 25, 2011 -> 02:44 PM) Haters gonna hate. Is that kinda like homers are gonna be homers? Huh? The Bulls are f***ing awesome and I'm going to enjoy it. I was the first to tell you if the Bulls weren't awesome, and I'd be the first to tell you if D-Rose wasn't legitimately running away with the MVP award. Unfortunately for those posters who want to claim homerism on a Chicago board, in this case it just isn't fact. I have yet to see a game this season (and via at the United Center, live on television or via DVR I've watched all but maybe 4 or 5 games this year) where Derrick Rose was not the most valuable player on the court. Is the MVP the player making the biggest difference to his team and "most valuable" or just the most talented player in basketball. If it's the former (my interpretation), then it's Derrick Rose in a landslide. If it's the latter, it's Lebron. I don't see where Dwight enters into the conversation... and it's just hard seeing the MVP award being dulled out to the best player on a team that keeps declining.
  24. QUOTE (Felix @ Mar 25, 2011 -> 02:25 PM) Except the fact that the Spurs are a better team than the Bulls by quite a bit. QUOTE (Felix @ Mar 25, 2011 -> 02:39 PM) The Bulls are a great team and have been the best team in basketball since the All-Star break.
