Awesome Sox commercial
QUOTE (Kalapse @ Mar 24, 2011 -> 12:20 AM) The Pierzynski commercial is very, very good. AJ definitely holds his own in front of a camera and Sale's quiet "AJ!?!" as Pierz walks away is excellent. The Buehrle/Hawk commercial: meh. I absolutely adore AJ. He's great in front of the camera (clearly a lot of the acting from wrestling has paid off). That commercial rocks.

*Official* Work Out Thread
QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 24, 2011 -> 10:49 AM) I was going to say, usually a plateau is due to diet or you just repeating workouts day in and day out. You need to change it up to force your body to change. And really, the eating little s*** during the day vs MEALS really just turns your metabolism into a motherf***ing monster.

Name Change? Anything else needed?
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Mar 23, 2011 -> 06:12 PM) Since it skipped to the next line (something I was trying to avoid) you could go ahead and add "Too Big" in front as well to perfectly copy the Stacey King quote. Thanks again!

*Official* Work Out Thread
QUOTE (ChiSox_Sonix @ Mar 24, 2011 -> 09:07 AM) What did you to do that? I was at 260 about 15 months ago (I was 230 in college so i've never been small) and managed to get down to about 205. Got lazy and shot back up to 210 and got back on track a month ago and i'm down to 203 but it seems like i've been in the 203-206 range for a few weeks now and my ultimate goal is 185 as well. Kinda feel like i'm plateauing which I'm hoping is not the case. Mine was really quite simple... I ate right and worked out 6 days a week to get down, now I'm adding muscle. Limit your calories, boost your metabolism. I do the following daily. 8am - fiber one bar 10:30am - yogurt 12:30pm - sandwich 3pm - orange then a sensible dinner. Then 60 minute workout mix of cardio/weights. I love, love, love the automated staircase. It is a calorie-burning beast. Now, of course, since I lost all the weight I've been eating/drinking whatever I went the last three weeks without gaining weight while adding muscle... got drunk a lot, ate a lot of tasty goodness, doesn't matter. The transformation is complete and the metabolism is a beast.

Peavy had rotator cuff tendinitis
QUOTE (Elgin Slim @ Mar 23, 2011 -> 06:13 PM) I'm intrested to see how effective Peavy will be without that wicked moving drop down 92-94 mph 2 seamer that starts 3 inches off the plate and tails to the outside corner. Pish. Get out of here. He had his muscle re-attached, he's basically bionic. He's the next Henry Rowengartner and will be touching 102 once they take off the leash.

Peavy had rotator cuff tendinitis
QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Mar 23, 2011 -> 06:12 PM) Hell, you almost get the impression that this is nothing and the guy's going to break camp w/the team. Optimist-fest is back on! In a super competitive pay fantasy league, he was dropped. Needless to say, he's been added by me.

Chris Sale sucks
QUOTE (Paint it Black @ Mar 23, 2011 -> 06:03 PM) In the spring training game I was at on Sunday, Adam Dunn was 0-3 with two strike outs. The only solution is to fire Greg Walker. Hey, there's already a serious "Adam Dunn Sux" thread.

Kyle McCulloch dealt to Cincy for cash
QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Mar 23, 2011 -> 06:00 PM) admission: i was excited about this pick. I declared Nick Swisher would hit 40 homers for us in 2008 and go on to own the town. It happens.

Chris Sale sucks
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Mar 23, 2011 -> 05:17 PM) We should have never traded Kyle McCulloch. Oh this post is excellent. And timely.

Chris Sale sucks
QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Mar 23, 2011 -> 04:51 PM) Seriously, though, how has Sale looked? I can't bring myself to watch anymore than maybe an inning of a spring training baseball game. Does the stuff/command look good? Is he getting tattooed? Unlucky? This thread is not for serious posts.

Name Change? Anything else needed?
Can a kind mod change my title from "Electric Dream Machine" to "Too Fast, Too Strong, Too Good"

Chris Sale sucks
He has a 5.79 era. We should probably cut him.

Pierzynski vs. Flowers
Why, oh why, do people continue to draw conclusions based on Spring Training statistics?

Things that need to come back...
QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Mar 23, 2011 -> 04:08 PM) The funny thing I remember is that parents still used to tell us to go outside a lot, although we did go out a ton. Apparently, my parents and my friends' parents were never allowed in their houses at any point growing up. Imagine if we were like kids today...

*Official* Work Out Thread
QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Mar 23, 2011 -> 04:12 PM) I've been running a lot more in the last two weeks (I usually just ride my stationary bike) and the progress I've made is crazy. I can run for a much, much longer time at a high speed than I would have thought I'd be able to do at this point. The human body bounces back quickly. In January I decided I was a fatass at 211.7 lbs, and got to 185 a few weeks ago. I've been sustaining that weight and adding muscle and feel like I'm 21 again. I'll never ignore my body's health again. Once you start working out, I truly feel it's addicting.
