The first thing I thought was World of Goo as well. That game was awesome.

The Dead Weather's album "Horehound" is pretty freaking awesome. In case you are unaware, this is Jack White's new project.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 15, 2009 -> 08:52 PM) Give me the Bowmans anyday. Just look what they built in Detroit. Scotty Bowman is sure getting a lot of credit for shared work done with Murray, Devellano, and Holland. Stan Bowman's getting a lot of credit for being a f*** trophy.

QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 16, 2009 -> 12:21 AM) I finally blocked all Mafia Wars invitations.Cough, Knightni, cough.

QUOTE (almagest @ Jul 16, 2009 -> 12:16 AM) The quizzes, dear god, the quizzes. Why do so many people want me to know which character on "Real Housewives of New Jersey" they are? I wish I could send live, hate-filled bees to these people via the internet. Winner.

QUOTE (Jake @ Jul 16, 2009 -> 12:19 AM) Do any of the iPhone alternatives, like maybe the PRE, not have the big data charge associated with them? Well, you can get the "Everything 450" plan through Sprint, which gives you 450 anytime minutes, and free nights starting after 7 and free weekends, as well as everything else for $79.99. Also, just tell them you work for GM or Blockbuster (they don't verify) and you can get 20% off every month.

QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jul 16, 2009 -> 09:29 AM) Doubt what? I think they were referring to "seeing it on tv", because I guess they thought you meant Comedy Central or something. I presume you meant HBO, STARZ, or Showtime.

Video of the Pepsi Commercial accident Never before released... crazy.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jul 15, 2009 -> 01:29 PM) I should have checked here first but I asked about the Pre in the catch all thread. Overall what do you think of it? The Pre is awesome. It has tons of features. The only thing lacking is EAS Support, so make sure your company has an active SSL Certificate for EAS based email if that's how you roll. Other than that, no complaint.

I had no idea that Kaner was coverboy for NHL 10.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 15, 2009 -> 11:32 AM) The point is he doesn't know much more about hockey than me or at least that was the case when he took the job and I highly doubt he became an expert with the ability to make personnel decisions in the past two years or so. Yeah, but as President, he still gets his say. Take the bad with the good I guess?

My collecting s*** days have passed. I used to spend too much on baseball cards, dvds, video games, etc. Now, I buy a few movies here and there, don't collect sports cards at all, and cycle out my video games by trading them in. I guess I now collect experiences and memories in the form of sporting events and booze at bars and parties pretty much every weekend...

I'll tell you what... Apple does a great job with their advertising. "I want video and cut-and-paste", just like their commercial told you to. FYI, the Palm Pre already has both functions. Unfortunately, the EAS support is really poor and it's pissing me off.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jul 15, 2009 -> 11:27 AM) Steve I think you were looking for this: Oh man, the interventions are hilarious on that show. Yes, let's intervene for SHIPPS. "I've been there man. That's a dark place you just don't want to go."

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jul 15, 2009 -> 11:14 AM) I'm no expert but I don't want my marketing guys making my hockey decisions. I'm a marketing guy and I could make good hockey decisions! On a serious note... he's not just some marketing guy, he's the TEAM PRESIDENT. In that role, he gets his f***ing say.

QUOTE (SHIPPS @ Jul 15, 2009 -> 11:13 AM) But I really watch these movies though. I could see if I was just buying them and letting them sit there it would be a complete waste but I watch them all the time. All the time? If you're buying them every time you go to a store you don't watch them all the time. You're just buying them so when people come over they'll say "whoa, you've got a lot of BluRays." Sure, you can own some, but you're addicted to it. I've been addicted to buying movies pointlessly. You'd be better off burning your cash... it looks cooler.

QUOTE (SHIPPS @ Jul 15, 2009 -> 10:28 AM) I am addicted to buying blueray movies. Everytime I go to any type of store that sells them I have to atleast buy one. And I know there are others because they stand at the racks for an hour or more just like me looking at all the selections. But I didnt do this with DVD's at all. I really have less DVD's than I do BD's. I guess since it is such a different movie experience in HD that I enjoy watching movies alot more now. When I was in college I was obsessed with buying DVDs. I wanted to have a collection. What a f***ing waste of money. No one cares about the BluRay collection but you... take the money you are spending and put it into an account. Then 6 years from now when BluRay is out and the next fancy thing is in, take that bank account and compare it to the amount you would get selling those crappy BluRays on eBay. You will not be able to believe the difference in value. EDIT: That came across harsh, but I was just referring back to my own wasted cash and trying to pass the lesson onto you.

The boos were because of that jacket. It was a razzing, nothing more.

What a nice first-half of the All-Star Game. It may be in St. Louis, but you wouldn't know it with all the White Sox !

Who are you? I KID!

Wow, did anyone even f***ing read what Rogers wrote? He said Beckham or Ramirez are deal breakers. He didn't say the Sox would offer Floyd, Beckham, and Ramirez. However, trading Floyd would be like taking two steps forward but one step back. Sure, you upgrade a spot in your rotation, but adding Halladay to Buehrle, Danks, Floyd, and Contreras is the key.

People shouldn't serve more than a year in jail for killing dogs while others serve 30 days for killing humans.
