Man. It would take a whole heckofa lot for me to boo a player on the Sox. See: Dewayne Wise. But Bobby??! He's been an absolute stud, and is running a little cold right now. I'd have been a hellofa lot disappointed, but i wouldnt boo him.

This is interesting. The dude, at age 38, is still racking up a .400 OBP. He's the lefty stick you don't realize you miss until he's gone. In our ballpark, he could get to 600 bombs in another two years, and I'd really like to see that happen with the White Sox. I presume given the youth movement in Major League Baseball, Big Jim wouldn't cost too much to extend. I'd like to see that happen. This does bring up the whole Jermaine Dye issue, and whether we want to extend him and commit to him in right field, but I think he's rightfully so in line for a rather hefty payday (say a 3 year deal similar to what Ibanez got last year), whereas Thome could be had for less... I would assume. Anyway, just ranting on an underrated player.

See pitcher with high strikeouts who gives up homers in the worst-possible situation. Take pitcher from bandbox in the AL and place in NL pitcher's park. Watch era go down. Still be glad he's not on your team wasting your bullpen and losing every game that counts.

Why is it that everytime it seems like Bobby's stuff "is back" is right around the time he starts getting hit/screwing things up. He made it scary on Saturday, he made it scary on Monday, and he blew it last night. With this, he was featuring a bad-ass new two-seamer/sinker, and his curveball looked as good as ever. I'm not about to say "pull him from the closer's role", but he has GOT to remember he's great when he pitches, but wild when he throws.
