  1. QUOTE(1549 @ Sep 21, 2005 -> 04:00 PM) Sorry, I did not mean to imply that RU got screwed by the system, nothing could be further from the truth. I meant to describe how if a team does not have momentum, they will likely not walk out of O.T. with a victory. Rutgers lost to Illinois because A- bad play in the red-zone. B- bad kicking. C- Uninspired second half defense. D- horrible play call. I don't want to take anything away from Illinois, you guys played a hell of a lot better than we did in the second half. But, plain and simple, a team doesn't make up a 20 point defecit without a little help from their opponent. Fair enough. I literally thought you blamed the overtime system for the loss, which would be really odd. No doubt we got some help from you guys. It usually takes 2 for a ridiculous comeback

  3. It sounds like someone is playing an old Nintendo game right now. Black screen with ridiculous noises.
  4. Been f***ed up for 4 minutes in Champaign, we're on mlbtv now.
  5. my comcast just froze for 30 seconds, then had an error message, now it's back. hopefully they are on their way to fixing it for everyone.
  6. It's definitely a Chicago thing, we're fine down here in Champaign. Kind of odd.
  7. QUOTE(1549 @ Sep 21, 2005 -> 11:37 AM) I go to Rutgers and saw the overtime system lose me a game this year. If your team doesn't have momentum, you are pretty much screwed. However, I think the current format is fun and excitng...I love it. If Jeremy Ito could kick, Rutgers would be undefeated, but all of you Illinois fans would be depressed lol. The overtime system cost you the game? LMAO
  8. The teams start with the ball on the 25 yard line. I think they should start at the 35 or 40 yard line, meaning they'd pretty much have to get a first down to get some points up there.
  9. "We'd have 10,000 a lot of nights in Chicago [and] they were loud and a great 10,000, but outside of that little loyal bunch, fan support there stinks," Howry said of Sox crowds that average 17th in the league at 28,692. "It's brutal. You have a team that for the longest time had the best record in baseball and a team that's been in first place by a huge margin all year long, and you can't pull fan support?"
  10. No i would hate to back in, and will only look at that option if i find something other than a -- in the GB column next to the white sox. Even without the wild card, we're still in great shape. No one can beat Cleveland...every night we look up and they won. Well, they have to beat us. We can put an end to their magic run right here and right now, at home.
  11. Alright, i'm feeling good about this series. Let's not crush all of our hopes White Sox. Let's get this done.
  12. Well in college football the play clock doesn't start til the ball is spotted. After the QB sneak, all the MSU players piled onto Stanton and didn't get off, and the refs couldn't get the ball out and spotted before :25 seconds were remaining.
  13. I can get the game on mlbtv. No score overlay or anything, but it's there.
  14. I believe one of em is Fat Joe - Get it Poppin'
  15. We're all there with you man. I'm a more pissy person in general right now. It's an overall feeling of s***ty-ness that effects everything in your life, whether it be work, school, girlfriend, whatever. Was supposed to go out Wednesday night with a few friends after the game. After the terrible loss, i was in absolutely no mood to go out and didn't answer my phone the whole night. That's just one example.
  16. SnB and I are in a computer lab, we had 9-10 computers running. We got in right at 12. We got game 1, 4 tix sec 533 row 12 We got game 2, 4 tix sec 537 row 10 We failed to get game 3 i guess, we were moving furiously though. I guess we did pretty well compared to others.
  17. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Sep 15, 2005 -> 09:39 AM) I am not going to be able to stay the weekend like usual for obvious reasons, but I am going to have to find a way to hang out for a night, and crash on someone's floor maybe... Soxfest is always an incredibly fun time, and I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone. Not only that, but go to the bar after hours if you are of age, and meet people and drink a lot. You won't regret it, well unless you are Krush. Eh, i wouldn't say i regret it. I still had a hell of a time. This year i'll just know not to try to outdrink everyone :rolly
  18. We had to sweep, we just had to. We have 6 left against Cleveland? Holy. Crap.
  19. Yeah the schedule comes out later, but i'm pretty sure the first game is oct 4. Game 2 is then either the 5th or 6th. We won't know if games are day or night until like October 3.
  20. So NHL 06 has NHL 94 in it. That makes this game worth picking up by itself. I've never been so pumped about a video game in my life.
  21. I actually need to pick up one of the games pretty soon, didn't really know which one to go with.
  22. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Sep 14, 2005 -> 02:49 PM) Wow, nice generalization. Thinking that way about fraternities shows that you know nothing about them. I guess you never get drunk? You never have fun with your friends? If you read my post, you would see what you dont know about fraternities. I was in one of the largest, especially on YOUR campus, probably one that you hate. Yet i have an entirely different view on the situation, and a different view of you people looking in. If I was to mention what I thought about people who werent in Greek Organizations, would you take kindly to it? I dont think so. Saying negative things about any group of people, is going to make you look ignorant. If someone said that sox fans are all white trash hillbillies that run on the field to attack people. You would be offended because you know better, and you love the sox and what they stand for. This is such a bulls*** argument because you are biased. Period. I can make whatever generalization i want from what i know. You can call that ignorant if you wish.
  23. QUOTE(thedoctor @ Sep 14, 2005 -> 02:47 PM) identifying people who don't want to be in frats as "outcasts" is the very definition of a "high school mentality." Rest my case.
