  1. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Sep 14, 2005 -> 02:24 PM) Get over yourself. There are dumbass fraternities and there are ones that actually have their head screwed on right. If you think you are above them, then good for you. They are obviously doing something right to have been around for as long they have. But, if you're too cool for them, than I think that's just great (GDI). No addy, get over yourself. I posted the frat rules and that was about it. Who brought up all this other stuff? Raines, then you. All i responded to was the fact that he said i want to be in a frat and am jealous. If i wanted to be in a frat, i'd be in one, quite obviously. There's a million of em on this campus. Sure, there are a few business/econ/whatever frats that serve a purpose. The rest of em are filled with drunk assholes who live in filth and brag about how many girls they've got with. Where did i say i was above them? Also, why do you think you are above me? What, are you rushing this semester or something? I love how you defend yourself with "Illinois has the biggest Greek system." I care.
  2. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Sep 14, 2005 -> 12:58 PM) Ouch. Someone is sour grapes. Did a frat guy s*** on your coat or something Kenny? I don't get the animosity. It's just hilarious that he thinks i want to be in a frat. Comical.
  3. Sorry Raines, but the vast majority of frat guys i've met are huge assholes. They are arrogant and very disrespectful. They treat women like crap - and that's putting it nicely. Now, not everyone is like this, but i live on a college campus so i've had many encounters with them. You can preach on about your friendship and brotherhood, but you aren't going to convince me that frat guys are AwEsOmE. SnB knows what i'm talking about, he experiences the same things down here. Addy, i don't know what campus you are living on...
  4. I have quite a few funny college stories...or at least ones that are funny in the "had to be there" style. I'll post a few later.
  5. Doesn't sound too good. Needless to say, the boards don't give...i've hit em pretty hard many times. Hope he's alright, because i love to watch him play.
  6. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Sep 14, 2005 -> 10:29 AM) First of all its Fraternity. And stereotypes are for the ignorant. If you have that much to say about one, you wish you were in one. lol
  7. I used the search funtion and found nothing...also checked the Sox website and found nothing, so i figured i'd post this. If there's a thread out there somewhere or this is old news, sorry. During the game tonight DJ announced that Soxfest 2006 will take place Jan 27-29. Just thought i'd throw the date out there for those that need to plan things out way in advance. I think there was a number to call to start making reservations, but i wasn't really paying attention to the details, just the dates. I'll be back at school at that time (last year soxfest fell on the last weekend of winter break), but i'm hoping to make it up from Champaign with Steve for the entire weekend.
  8. Notre Dame: Wide receiver Rhema McKnight will not play against Michigan State this week because of an injured right knee. "He is not lost for the season," Notre Dame coach Charlie Weis said Tuesday. "He has a procedure that will keep him out this week." The junior has five catches for 69 yards this season. He scored a touchdown against Michigan on Saturday.
  9. I love when Bears first round draft picks pan out Oh wait...

  11. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Sep 13, 2005 -> 10:41 PM) I'm hoping that I won't need to rely on you guys for tickets, as my brother will be here with his laptop and on this computer looking for tix. That way, you guys can just give the ticket/sell the ticket to (maybe?) someone else down at UofI. 30 computers in a computer lab > Your bro's laptop
  12. QUOTE(CWSGuy406 @ Sep 13, 2005 -> 10:34 PM) The one who absolutely beat the hell out of their week one opponent. In other words, not Brian. (obscure fantasy football reference) I'm buying tickets with him. Might want to reconsider your rips kiddo.
  13. QUOTE(SnB @ Sep 13, 2005 -> 10:29 PM) Apple Juice Gooooooooo Apple Juice Pierzynski!!!!!
  14. Bolded part is for Greasy.
  15. QUOTE(SnB @ Sep 13, 2005 -> 11:53 AM) :banghead it's not funny to make fun of the handicapped. I'm contacting the admissions and records office...
  16. Is that a typo? Shouldn't it be around 11,000? 2,200 total pot for a cubs/sox game seems ridiculously low.
  17. QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Sep 12, 2005 -> 04:03 PM) That's actually pretty cool. Alright we have 2 owners now

  19. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Sep 10, 2005 -> 04:44 PM) Michigan pissed that one down their leg. I think I'm gonna laugh my ass off if ISU beats Iowa though. Go Clones! Regardless, "serious hurting" in my mind is a 20+ pt win And hell yeah, go Clones
  20. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Sep 5, 2005 -> 09:33 AM) Also, the Maize and Blue will put a serious hurting on the Irish. Guess that depends on your definition of "hurting" Good call Addy
  21. It's an attendance thread, it should have been obvious what point i was trying to prove.
  22. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Sep 8, 2005 -> 11:54 PM) The sox have as much if not more fans then the Cubs. Problem is the cubs get all the bandwagon, fair weather, tourist, etc, they get that whole group. Oh yeah that stupid park they play in helps them draw fans as well even when the cell is much nicer. In the overall scheme of things, those count as fans, because they are going to the ballpark. Doesn't matter who's hardcore and who's not - we're only talking about attendance.
