  1. My dad often apologizes for raising me a Sox fan, and jokes that he wishes his dad hadn't raised him as a Sox fan... tonight the mood is different...Go Sox!
  2. right now we are doing ok. (konerko, and valentin are iffy, but nobody could have foreseen konerko's fall). What I am saying is that if we get a lot of money, we have to be sure to spend it wisely and not spend a lot of money on experiments and risks.

    The Wave

I disagree with you 100%..........I love the wave and beachballs.......IF the game is boring it turns into fun The wave: out of place at baseball games. It seems to be a tradition at Michigan Football games, so it is OK in places where it is a tradition. Also, it is ok at soccer games, though I do not really like soccer sorry rafacosta

    i like it

I haven't been this jittery since 2000. Tonights Frank Thomas reminded me of the Frank Thomas that exploded in that Cleveland series back in 2000. Overall though, this season seems to be of the '83 style, in terms of climbing out of a defitcit.
  6. whoa, whoa, whoa... lol, baby steps. we are talking about the Chicago White Sox. Historically tight wallets, historically terrible in the playoffs, historically hardly in the playoffs. You have to be careful how you throw around that word 'dynasty'. I see what you are saying though, unfortunately money has to be spent wisely...historically sox have often put there money in the wrong place. The Mets spend a s***load more than the sox can even dream about spending...and look how that has turned out.
  7. I hope you got something to clean that up with
  8. to be honest, with a baseline of about 12,000, attendance for weeknight games really cant be measured on the scale we usually think of. That is why I agree with CW, in that tonight was fine. Jas, was right on that if we win they will come.
  9. If we win the world series resign everybody... oh wait, I forgot we are talking about the White Sox what I meant to say is if we WIN A HOME PLAYOFF GAME FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE f***ING 1959, resign everybody we can afford
  10. Loiaza (depending on how he does in the second half) Alomar (if his price is reasonable) Valentin (if it is possible to pay him a million or less) Alomar Jr (veteran catcher never hurts)
  11. I tried and failed miserably...

    Lineup

    1) Harris - CF 2) Alomar - 2B 3) Thomas - 1B 4) Ordonez - RF 5) Everett - DH 6) Lee - LF 7) Crede - 3B 8) Valentin - SS 9) Olivo/Alomar or is Everett going to play center (though I thought he can't cuz of knee) or is Alomar going to leadoff (I would like to see that)...Anybody know exactly
  13. lol.. it should show who voted and how.. so we know who the ass clown is....... damn ass-clowns. ruined a perfectly good poll
  14. I was just at the Cardinals message board, and the fans there are urging on major balloting. They are requesting 25 votes per cardinal fan. Now only time will tell, and your votes
  15. Ok who voted no? (I wish there was a smiley that is preparing to punch)
  16. Currently: B. Bonds 744,095 Soso 565,590 Scheffield 565,177 Pujols 486,195 The balloting ends Wednesday at 11:59 PM, keep the votes coming...we can vote out sosa. Inform friends and family, sabotage balloting stations at Wrigley, make confusing ballots in Florida neighborhoods full of elderly Jewish women, recruit cardinal fans. Stuff the ballots. Turn away Japanese voters (they have been voting by the millions)...Do what ya gotta do
  17. Great minds think alike
  18. I wouldn't mind seeing Alomar leading off, he stole 30 bases in '01...so it's not like the speed isn't there
  19. couldn't agree with your more. Anybody is better than that dog Jimenez defensively, and there is a good chance that Alomar's bat will find its way too.
  20. Don't you mean 'a new york minute'?
  21. With a new stadium, and some money coming there way, expect that to change. Todd Walker will be signed by the Pad's and I imagine a Pitcher too. Probably Kelvim Escobar, if not somebody on a higher echelon
  22. I have read a lot of different opinions, so I thought it would nice to see the overall view. Personally, I like it.
  23. I believe it, where did you hear it though, if it was not in the press? Go W!

    SLEEP talk

I am a wuss when it comes to sleep. My freinds usually stay up the whole night when we have sleepovers and stuff, not me though. I make sure to fall asleep at 4 a.m. I can not function with out the proper sleep.
  25. Sammy Sosa is in 4th by a mere 414 votes, we must keep him out. He trails Pujols, Scheffield, and Bonds (not in that order). My guess is that, unless the mlb intervenes for more fan support, Sosa will be on the All-Star team. So vote Pujols, Scheffield and Bonds! Vote Early and vote often
