Bighurt: I noticed you wrote Go White Stockings in your signature. I hate to break it to you, but I am pretty sure that the Cubs used the name White Stockings after their creation in 1876. Later, they changed their name to the cubs. In 1900 when the new chicago team had to find a name they picked up an adapted version of the White Stockings known as the White Sox. I am pretty sure that is how the history book reads it...

I predict... T.J. Ford, numero cuatro, by the New York Knicks after a trade.

I think it would have been easier for the guy to just copy and past the entire bible for his description. It would have been more to the point.

I believe the line is: Bill: "It puts the lotion in the basket" Girl: "No, they'll catch you, you bastard" (or something to that affect" Bill: "It puts the f***ing lotion in the basket"

Bighurt, I had an experience today in NY, Queens to be specific. On my way to a Mets game with my Dad, my Dad and I got terribly lost. We decided to get to Shea via Queens Blvrd. (we are still new to the area especially Queens and get lost everytime we go to Shea, which is now 4 and counting). So we got all the way to the very end of Queens blvrd, in Jamaica. This neighborhood was, well, iffy. Then we go a little ways on Jamaica and try to get back towards Queens Blvrd. so we make a left turn and wind up in the fricken ghetto on some street called Rufus Brown Drive. 2 white people lost on Rufus Brown Drive drew a lot of attention. Then we got stuck on one way streets. Finally we just blew off the sign and got back on Jamaica and finally got to the Van Wick (sp?) and got to Shea... what an adventure

Sportsweekly's Buzz column said that the Sox are expressing huge interest in Ponson... We need him, we must get him... don't hold anything back

Sorry Spiff, I did not read any posts after I saw Brando's error, I just went ahead and commented on it... No harm intended... Hopefully no harm done. There are no peace smilies, so I will just buy you a smiley "cold one"

Tall men (over 6 feet) are more likely to have steady high paying jobs, families, nice cars, large houses, and are viewed as more trustworthy, and honest. Smaller men (under 6 feet) are found to be more prone to drug addiction, therapy, smaller houses, and are more likely to end up as loners. On a personal level, I am a little nervous. I am a little over 5'8 at age 16. My Dad is 6'3 my Bro is 6'1 my Mom is 5'4. I drink a ton of caffiene (coffee every morning, at least 1 soda a day). So I am going to be on the border. Because of this study there are talks going on to legalize growth hormones to be given to short children. I think rather than drugging up the youth of America, our culture should be a little more accepting. Any thoughts?

DAMN! I will steal your Seinfeld tapes

What prize would they get. Perhaps a plaque with the person's name and achievement on it. Then the 100,000 post inscribed on it. SoxTalk's 100k post 1549 "woohoo this is 100k" would be an example. Of course the 100,000 post will end up being from one of those Masturbation threads. so the quote will read more like "sometimes the vaseline does not wash off right away"

I tape and archive a lot of sporting events, but not TV shows. I do have the first 2 Simpsons DVD sets, and am stocking up my funds to buy the 3rd. I wish I could by the Soprano's DVD sets too, but I want to have at least a penny to my name.

That is a perfect CW-style religious analysis. Couldn't have asked for a better one. So is this also the case with drugs and Alice in Wonderland, or is that just more BS, from money hungry radicals?

I am amazed at the support for Harry Potter. For some reason I did not like the books (I read the first and the first 150 pages of the second before losing interest). Everyone I talk to can not believe I did not like them, but I just couldn't get my self interested. Some people say that the books are sacreligious, I for one say they are definately not. CW, I know you are clergy and have good input on things like this. What is your take on Harry Potter's relationship with religion?

I hate to say it, but the Twins games are much more important than the Cubs. I think you move up MB to face the Twins, as they have problems with lefties, and leave Wright for the finale at Comiskey. Plus that insures that Wright won't pitch against the Twins in the series after the Cubs next weekend either. I couldn't agree more... I would love to see our best go up against the cubs, but not with the oppurtunity to slash down the twinkies. This is the most important series the white sox have played in since 2000. Must win time against the twins

When I was little me and my brother used to go up to the upper corner and look down. It was quite an adventure, sweaty palms, and legs wiggling like jell-o as I peered over the ledge. Of course, this was back in the early 90's when there actually were people sitting in some of the outer reaches of the upperdeck anyway. Roman is right though, I have seen people just sit up there. Usually younger fans, sitting up there laughing, half drunk it seems like. Of course most of the time, it is just a vast open waste-land up there.

I am so glad I stayed home to watch the fight last night...great action, and I was really into it. The last two fight I have watched have been awesome (Gatti vs. Ward and last nights). Last nights fight wasn't in anyway a classic, but because it was close I loved it. Its too bad they had to stop the fight because I would have loved to see Lewis fall on his ass. I think there will be a rematch, and I expect Klitschko to fall early in the rematch. This fight was a wake up call to Lewis, and he will train harder. Klitschko will not be as prepared next time b/c he will have to take some time off for that eye. I would actually love to see Vladmir Klitschko have a go with Lewis. One of these Klitschko brothers will dethrone Lewis. I hope they don't put the next fight on Paperview, because I don't want to have to pay.

Compare Buehrle to Glavine. Glavine had some shaky times early in his career. And Buehrle should be trying to turn himself into Tom Glavine.
