  1. Jerry Springer is running for office in Ohio. You can visit his election site, and sign an 'encouraging petition' telling Jerry to go ahead and run. www.runjerryrun.com No, this is not a joke.

    Graduation

It does suck, I don't get out until next friday... btw, that monkey really freaks me out
  3. Its east rutherford, what do you expect. If there was something beautiful in East Rutherford, they wouldn't have built a football stadium, an arena and a racetrack there. Not to mention all the baggage that comes with a sports complex (parking lots, highways etc). Did you hear that Spiff...its a great area!

    Graduation

Before moving to Jersey I lived in Western Springs. My friends and I used to wander over to Oak Brook mall every once in a while. Its kinda small though. Anyway, I am off to go study for my chem. final...damn I dislike that class, so hard!
  5. I see, and what part of Jersey have you been to? :fyou Spiff

    Graduation

What you described was what we did during the day. Then we had to go back to school that night in gowns and have a little graduation ceremony. Where we got awards watched a film and slide show and had speeches and diploma's and all that boring crap. ah...to go back to Jr. high and not have to deal with the finals that currently loom over my week.

    GO DUCKS GO!!!

That is such BS...the cubs fans would boo, and I wouldn't like it, but I would expect them to boo, b/c they don't like the Sox like we don't like them. Mark Grace is a classy player, but if he won the WS MVP in a cubs uni, I would have boo'd him, and i think every other fan on this board would too. Anyone that denies it is a damn liar. adding to the booing of JSG is the fact that every fan in that arena wanted to see Brodouer win the trophy. Please, don't try to protect the hypocracy.

    Graduation

3,000 dollars for your 8th grade graduation...SOB thats alot. I got like cards and maybe $25 from each of my grandparents when I graduated from 8th grade 3 years ago.
  9. I did not like Pearl Harbor, except for the attack on Pearl Harbor, and the retaliation bombings...those scenes had some action

    GO DUCKS GO!!!

Bulls***...it doesn't matter what happens, as sox fans we will never cheer for Sammy Sosa. What you just said is a load of crap and you know it.

    GO DUCKS GO!!!

Funny...I love double standards. You and I both have booed Sammy Sosa all throughout his career. Who cares how he played, he is getting booes from myself and sox fans. Yet it is not ok to boo jsg if you are a dev's fan, after a long fought bitter series? :fyou hypocrits
  12. Whoa! As a resident in the state of NJ, I am going to have to ask you to take that back. Afterall, NJ has 2 NFL teams playing in it, the Eastern Conference champion Nets, the stanley cup champion devils, a lot of cool mountains, nice scenery...the Sopranos, and of course 'the boss'. Not to mention Sinatra and Bon Jovi also came out of this place. America's arm pit = newark. Home of nothing I just mentioned. Playing sweet home chicago after white sox victories...oh be a little more predictable. Wow, since moving here I have always thought Eastcoasters were full of themselves...now I can see midwesterners have that natural scorn towards the East. Oh, how frustrating it is to be stuck in the middle. A chicago boy, stuck in NJ...shed a tear for me. No, now here is something for all you haters hatin' on Jersey. JOISEY WOCKS! TALK TO ME WHEN YOU WIN 3 STANLEY CUPS IN 9 YEARS! :finger hata's
  13. Dean & Kucinich are the only two Democrats that would viably be able to mobilize the left into anything cohesive to oust Bush. And I can say, as much as I hate Bush, I'd find myself voting for him if the Democrats nominate Lieberman. Lieberman scares me so much more. And the left won't be as divided because Nader is heavily considering not running for President because 2004 is too important an election to divide the left because the goal is to oust Bush from the White House. The evil of the Hussein regime may come to light, but that is NOT the reason the US went in for. They said that they KNEW Iraq had WMD's and if he didn't turn them over we would invade. After they couldn't find the WMD's, the idea became that we wanted "Iraqi freedom." [Quite the usage of Orwellian language by the Bush administration] If Paul Wellstone was still alive, I'd totally nominate him for President. And oh yeah did anybody see the huge fight between Al Franken and Bill O'Reilly on C-SPAN at the Book Expo? Well, Lieberman would be scary, and is definately not right for this situation. He doesn't seem to be decisive enough for my liking. And unfortunately, in this time of turmoil, I don't think having a jewish president would be a good thing for mid-east relations. As sad as it is to say that, I think most know it is the truth. No, I did not see the Bill O'Reily fight. My brother is a huge Bill O'Reily fan, I will have to ask him if he saw it.

    Bulls Rumors

I expect that you will see neither in a bull's uniform. Although it would be nice to see.
  15. Bush's ass may be saved because of weak Democratic Candidates. I don't think Kerry or any democrat for that matter is as strong as recent democrats. As far as WMD, I can not vote, so I can not say that they will affect my vote, but I do believe there will be more evidence of the evil of the Hussein regime, enough to convince the U.S. anyway. The big factor as SS2k3 said is the economy. Tony Blair on the other hand, is facing a huge dilemma over there with WMD in Iraq. I read in the last edition of Time that he may be called to resign by high ranking people within his own party. ...and Go bush in 2004!!! btw, if the republicans don't have a good candidate in 2008 I will be very disappointed. Hillary Clinton will win against a Republican push-over. Nothing against women, but do you really want Hillary Clinton to be the first woman president? A carpet bagger, and a frontrunner in the oval office?

    Bulls Rumors

Lamar Odom would be a good pick up if he had a better disposition. But the type of personality he has now is not what this team is looking for. He could easily turn the Bulls into the underachieving Clippers.

    SideShowApu

I was noticing that the off-topic board has been a little slow lately, then I noticed Sideshowapu is not here. Anyone know where he is? The political discussions are really lacking in his absense.

    GO SPURS GO!!

depends how you define great game. Was it close...pretty much. Was it well played, no. Did JKidd play like crap again....yes. That is 2 crappy games so far for kid in this series. Kittles impressed me though. RJ hasn't even been a presense so far. I am really disappointed in his postseason play all around. K-Mart is keeping the Nets breathing right now. That 2nd quarter made me naucious :puke
  19. Joe Roa was thrown in, like I said, because he I think he could perform well out of the pen. It would be like an experiment. But philly probably wouldn't do Loiaza for Floyd straight up anyway

    Being a fan

    hopefully he will
  21. The problem is, now Valentin would wine on the bench, and Mora has shown that he can be a liability at SS, not that Valentin isn't
  22. Witesoxfan- Your post got me thinking, and here is what I came up with. Lee, Garland, Diaz, Ginter to Pittsburgh for Giles, and Torres. Konerko, Harris, and Rauch to Baltimore for Ponson and Mora. so the Sox shape up like 1) Jimenez (2B) 2) Mora (SS) 3) Thomas (1B) 4) Ordonez (RF) 5) Giles (LF) 6) Daubach (DH) 7) Crede (3B) 8) Borchard (CF) 9) Olivo © Rotation- Colon Loiaza Buehrle Ponson Wright then the Sox could stick Torres in the pen and get anything for White
  23. Wow, I don't know how I missed that one. Well in that case. Trade Konerko to the Metropolitans or the Orioles.
  24. Ok for starters, a dynasty is winning the world series not the division (unless you refer to the braves 11 in a row). Secondly, I say by next 2005 Cleveland has closed the gap and will be preparing to spend money again, so 4 years is probably stretching it. and to get to the ALCS 5 years in a row would require winning in the ALDS 5 years in a row. Considering the last playoff series this team won was in 1917...well lets not start talking 5 in a row. Thirdly, I agree having the cubs win first would be aweful. Maybe even a death sentence for the Sox. Fourthly, JR is not getting away with rape, if you haven't noticed fans hate him. His departure would probably bring back an estimated 5,000 fans per game (if the team wasn't terrible). ' Fifthly, yes I am pesimistic, but look at how this team is playing. I don't think I am alone when I say this is not a dynasty. So many holes, so many underachievers, and still not enough consistent pitching and still no defense up the middle. Sixthly, I am glad to hear you aren't switching hats. Seventhly, I could never give up on being a die hard fan, but if it comes to that for you...I wish you all the best in your sports 'split'. (hopefully things will get worked out though)
