    GO SPURS GO!!

Apparently you have not seen the Nets play in the playoffs, how about when they reeled off 10 straight victories before game 1. Lets face the facts, The Nets played aweful in Game 1. Had they made layups the game would have been a lot closer. Also the Spurs don't play PG's well. So the Nets are still in this baby. Good Luck to you too, hopefully this will be a well played game all around. Go Nets! Joisey Wocks!
  2. as long as people are being 'squeezed or patted' this topic will be here. Another burning question is on my mind, what if a girl you really like and want to go out with see's you checking out another chick, does she lose respect for you, because it happened to me, and the girl that I like didn't mention it to me but she acted differently after she caught me...what a dumbass I am.

    Funny Cide

I may be going to Belmont for the race Saturday, anyone think he will pull off the trifecta? By the way Jose Santos's wife is very attractive, maybe I will see her Saturday, but its unlikely that a $2 admission will have me anywhere near her

    GO SPURS GO!!

f***in' Spurs. The Nets were very rusty, lots of missed shots and missed layups in the first half. Martin was great defending Duncan in the first half but the Nets just shot themselves in the foot, with fouls and missed oppurtunities I have been watching the Nets all season and that was probably the worst J. Kidd performance I have seen. Not because of the shooting, but because his beautiful passes were not well timed last night and often picked off, very un-kidd like. I am holding to my Nets in 6 prediction. Afterall, I said the Nets would lose the first 2.
  7. Baldelli is too exciting and popular for the D-Rays to even consider trading him, if they were a contender maybe, but they are not, and they need some homegrown stars. Rocco fits the mold perfectly
  8. I would be willing to bet my life, that Juan Rivera will become a better player than Carlos. I would say Rivera will put up a few .320 35 130 seasons Lee will get better than he is now, but never great. I say he will become the player he was in 2000. .295 30 100 It would be great to have both, but I would rather have this lineup. 1) Jimenez (2B) 2) Mora (CF) 3) Thomas (DH) 4) Ordonez (RF) 5) Rivera (LF) 6) Konerko (1B) 7) Crede (3B) 8) Alomar/Olivo © 9) Almonte (SS)
  9. Yeah, it's a never ending quest to find a girl like that. I have noticed that all the girls that have a good personality and a good sense of humor are fun to be around, but unfortunately they are not all that good looking. Then the really hot girls are usually quite mindless. The ones that have it all usually already have boyfriends and f***buddies and all the stuff they need. Making me just that kid from chicago that talks to them in Geometry ...it's better than being nobody So the quest goes on...
  10. If girls got orgasm's that easily, it would be very easy to keep women happy...

    NBA FINALS

This board does have it's Spurs fans, but I think I represent the lone Nets fan. I will try to be vocal to fend off all the spurs fans, but it may be tough. Anyway to my preview. PG: Jason Kidd vs. Tony Parker edge: Nets...obviously Kidd is the best PG in the NBA SG: Kerry Kittles vs. Stephen Jackson edge: Nets...close, but Kittles has a better shot, and is capable of big games. SF: Richard Jefferson vs. Bruce Bowen edge: Nets...c'mon RJ was selected to the USA team and is the most energetic fast break player. PF: Kenyon Martin vs. Tim Duncan edge: Spurs...Tim Duncan: MVP, K-Mart: energetic, and a leader, but not good enough to compete with Duncan. C: Jason Collins vs. David Robinson edge: Spurs...neither player is an impact player at this point, but Robinson's experience is better than Collins's youth. Bench: edge: Spurs...Nets are small off the bench and with the exception of Rodney Rogers, the bench is wildly inconsistent. Coaching: edge: Spurs...Byron Scott is questionable to me. Results: Nets in 6. A gutsy prediction, but Spurs had trouble with PG driven Pheonix, and Game 5 against the Mav's showed that the Spurs can be beaten with a small lineup. Kidd and K-Mart are driven, and will sweep the Spurs in NJ after losing the first 2 in SA. Then the Nets will win game 6 in SA
  12. Most of those games you mentioned, I am too young for, but I have seen the AC one on ESPN classic, great game. You mentioned that you were at the Colorado game, that is probably your worst moment as a Michigan fan, I was at the 2000 Northwestern game (it was in Evanston), and there were a lot of michigan fans in attendance and more hearts were crushed in that stadium when Thomas fumbled, than not. We had that game in the bag too, it would have meant a trip to the Rose Bowl, oh well. Another moment that could be added to my list of great moments is the 1995 Mercury Hayes catch in the corner of the endzone against Virginia. I remember going nuts during that game. I thought Scott Dreisbach was going to be better than Elvis, and I though Biakabatuka would be better than Wheatley. We all know neither met my expectations. One play that I still ponder to this day, is why in the 1998, Michigan vs. ND game, Carr replaced Brady with Dreisbach at the 1 yard line for a sneak. When Dreisbach fumbled, I thought it served Carr right. As soon as he did that, he gave away that it was a QB sneak, and if he didn't care whether or not ND knew, he should have put Henson in rather than, Dreisbach. Then he tore Dreisbach to hell on the sideline. It was Carrs fault.
  13. Welcome to the wonderful world of college football. Both joyous, and heartbreaking, college football makes every saturday a great experience (or a nerve wrecking one). CWSOX: I think I remember telling you before that my dad was contemplating michigan season tickets after finally breaking through the waiting list...well the update is that he decided to get them, so I will be making the long pilgremage from New Jersey to Ann Arbor...and I couldn't be happier about it. There are 2 games I am looking forward to, ND and Ohio St. I used to enjoy the ND rivalry more, but after the last 2 seasons, I hate OSU just as much. My main complaint about Michigan this season is the Running Back position. Chris Perry, just seems to damn slow to me. He doesn't have the power to break away like Thomas did, and it seemed that the A-train had better break away speed. Unforunately Perry has stone hands so we can't expect him to catch out of the backfield either. With no Askew this year, I hope we get to see some more of Underwood. He intrigues me because it seems like he has speed to run to the outside. Maybe this is the year he really gets a chance. Navarre seems like Chris Simm's. He dominates against the weak opponents (except for Utah) and then he is a turnover machine in the big games. He lumbers in the backfield way too much. Still though, I have high expectation this season. My Top 5 michigan moments (of my lifetime) are: 1)1997(technically '98) Rosebowl 2)1997against Ohio State 3)1991against Ohio State (the pose) 4)1999Michigan Notre Dame 5)1999(technically '00) Orange Bowl The next runner up is 1997 against Penn St. Michigan dominated Penn St. and I remember all the analysts were predicting a close game. I remember that monstrous tackle on the sideline. That ended the career of the michigan player (the name eludes me) and ended the season for the Penn St. player. worst moments: 1)1994Kordell Stewart 2)2000Northwestern :fyou A-train, 2 hands on the ball 3)2002Ohio St. 4)2001Ohio St. 5)1996Purdue
  14. At least 'the Pitts' is gone too. That show annoyed the hell out of me. As for Futurama, I enjoyed the early episodes, the later ones, just seemed a little boring. I will miss the Drew Carey show, and whose line is it anyway. I enjoyed both of those shows. At least the Drew Carey Show has reruns airing on at least 50 other networks, and I can watch those old British 'whose line is it anyways' on comedy central.
  15. I just saw the score and it was 10-0 Pirates, how the hell did Wood have a 1 hitter
  16. Isn't Wally Backman Birmingham's manager?
  17. glad to see the former cub prospect is doing so well. After he got injured late last year, I was worried he wouldn't pitch well right away. But man he is tearing it up. He was only in A-ball last year too, now he is in the majors already. Last night 8 IP 6 H 0 R 1 BB 9 K's Willis is now 2-1 with a 4.50 ERA. Hopefully the Marlins take better care of him than there other pitchers
  18. Rocco Baldelli is not underrated, he is overrated. He is being compared to Joe Dimaggio, and gets more media attention than even Alex Rodriguez. Rocco will not put up superstar numbers in his career until he learns how to walk.

    Bears

Unfortunately...No. Kordell is a lock for 15-20 Int's if he plays every game, and Anthony Thomas, though he is one of my favirotes, is too slow to be an explosive NFL runningback. Booker and Terrell are big time recievers though. Unfortunately this team is not going to explode on offense. I predict mediocre on offense and defense
  20. The only time I ever liked him was 1999, when he had that 4 homerun series against the tigers, I thought his career was going to go up from there. Thank God we got Herbert Perry in 2000
  21. Alex Gonzalez of the Marlins The entire phillies pitching staff Hank Blalock

    Bruce Almighty

I liked it, I thought the scene with the news caster was hilarious. I would not compare it to the mask. It is better than the mask both in story, acting, and characters. The Mask was just Jim Caray acting like a nut...this movie actually had a purpose. Anyway good movie I give it a B or a B+
  23. I snorkeled there too, it was great. They had those pellets to drop in the water and the fish would come in droves. Really a marvelous place. What kind of pay do Marine officers get? I am not really the outdoors/nature type (unless it is beaches and warm whether like hawaii) so the military might not be my cup of tea, but just in case I am interested I would like to know what kind of career it is.
  24. Actually, it was my uncle in the navy and I think it was the Hale Koa, I remember there were a lot of navy people staying there. It was a great hotel, and there was a little snack place called smiley's. I am not sure I would want to live in Hawaii though because after a while i think I would feel claustrophobic living on an island. U of Hawaii is a possibility for college though.
  25. 3) New York City...I live 20 miles away so it's kinda like home. I am surprised people have not said this yet, because it really is great. Although before I moved here, when I was in Chicago, I always resented NYC because it gets more attention. But now I see it deserves all of the attention, I especially like mid-town. 2) Chicago...Home sweet home. Nothing like home, love the White Sox to add to that. OldRoman said that he likes the South Side, I am not as much a fan of the south side as the Loop and the places to go on the north side. I feel like a traitor saying that, but Comiskey Park is my favorite place in the city so don't charge me of treason. I also love this little 'grease spoon' type hamburger stand on the south side, I can't remember if it is called Maxwell St. Station, or 35th St. Station, either way great burgers pick 'em up eat in the car. 1) Hawaii...I am typically a city person, but I loved Hawaii. I stayed in Honalulu at this hotel right on Waikiki beach. Climbed diamond head, my uncle was in the navy so we got a free tour of some ships. Swam in the crystal clear water, saw the dole pineapple plantation, saw pearl harbor. Great place...I am not sure if I would like living there though. Boston, London, and Monterrey Bay are all runners up to the top 3.
