If what they were saying has to do with your preferance, for example if they called you gay...then you beat the s*** out of them and while they are laying on the ground you say "f***in queers" that will teach them a lesson and make them feel like s***. Otherwise just ignore and when people ask you about it, act like it is know big deal...hot girls love self confidence. Once someone was saying s*** about me and I just went along with it and turned it into joke, then onlookers were laughing and the kid that was talking s*** was disappointed that I didn't get pissed off, and he has been cool ever since...so I guess you shouldn't lose your temper

My history teacher only told us about the facts of both Capitalism and Socialism, I came up with the Nike analysis. As for state controlled industry, it is crap because it takes competition out of the market, and competition is what drives a successful economy. As for state controlled health care, I believe that state controlled health care is terrible in Canada. The only socialist concept that makes sense is anti-trust laws. As for our current 'hierarchy', there is no cure for it. There will always be a rich and a poor. As time goes on though our culture will become less and less race oriented, we are already a more diverse culture and more accepting of others than we probably were 30 years ago. You can hear a pleasant serman on the aspect of rich and poor in "Enemy At the Gate" when Viscilli's friend is about to offer his life to the opposing snipers bullet It seems to me that most people that share your views, Apu, are also Government concpiracy theorists, believing that the conservatives have set up a terrible insider system similar to that in the matrix (not that we are all batteries, but that there are evil agents preventing us from finding answers). Yet it is you conspiracy theorists that want to enlarge the government, it just doesn't make sense to me. Oh well, maybe you can enlighten me with your reasoning

In my history class we had a long discussion about the 2 different types of system. Without getting into too much detail at this juncture I will simply state that I am terribly confused about how an educated human like Apu would ever choose Socialism over Capitalism. For example: A socialist president is elected, he decides that it is necessary to force all american corporations to set up their factories in the U.S., Nike now has to pay its employees 5.50 instead of 1.00 because of the move. Now Nike starts losing money, then their shoes aren't designed as well, soon Nike loses money owners decide it isn't worth it, Nike goes under. Soon this happens everywhere, before you know it we are buying government made shoes. This happens everywhere and the government loses money, all while technology develops slower in a market lacking competition...soon our government is in financial trouble and the socialist U.S. collapses, now our country has to start over. In conclusion why choose anything but capitalism?

Is targeting Minorities illegal? it makes sense to give out "yo soy el Army" 'stuff' at a spanish dance. After your description of everything, I kind of want a "yo soy el Army" keychain. Was it one of those long keychains that is like a long band made out of wonven fabric like the ones that they usually hand out. They were handing those out at a stand they set up in my schools cafeteria during the lunches once, but they ran out so I only got a "Go Army" bumper sticker. I don't really like the Army's emblem though, the lone star looks like a cross between a dallas cowboys logo and a communist flag. Now that I think about it, I think every branch of the military has come to my school at least once this year, the Army and the Air Force come to the lunches a lot though. They show a video of Army guys running around and jumping out of helicopters and all that heroic kind of stuff, and they hand out brochures and answer questions. I am not a leftist-socialist anti-militarist (that has a nice flow to it) like you Apu, so I usually just ask how much they get paid, rather than why they put minorities in their brochures.

Unfortunately I saw all that stuff before I moved, in August 2001. The big deal is that we play like crap too often. We dig ourselves into holes ever May, I wrote an article about it for Soxnet.net you can read it in the Archives...but Manuel just sits on his ass and watches this rather than kicking some butt. In Manuel's 5 seasons we have had 3 .500 or better seasons, but 2000 was the only great season. The team finished strong behind Belle in 1998 to finish near .500, 1999 was rebuilding...2001 was gross underachieving, same with 2002 (until August). Maybe HSC is right and KW is the problem, but JM isn't helping getting these guys motivated for the season. BTW what the hell was Magglio thinking on that fly down the line, he has to call off DJ

Since I live in New Jersey, I get few chances to see the White Sox live. Yesterday me and my dad decided to take the drive down to Baltimore. Camden Yards is the greatest stadium I have ever been to. I have been to 10, it is easily number 1. During batting practice I saw Hawk and DJ in the booth, so I yelled to Hawk who his pick to click is he said, Maggs. I also saw at least 20 other Sox fans while wandering the stadium. Then the game started. Wow did we look terrible. Colon looked like he had nothing but a fastball out their. The offense looked aweful. 450 miles round trip to see a team play like crap. This has left me thinking that the Sox need to fire Manuel, I have always been a supporter of him but 3 losses in 4 games to Cleveland and Baltimore is ridiculous. This season is getting ugly already. We need a new manager that can bring a spark. Also unless the Sox win a playoff game, I say Manuel is done after this season anyways. If Manuel is fired during the season the Sox will likely have an interim manager...like Bruce Kimm. Then in 2004 I would love to see Tom Kelley as the Sox manager. Other prominent possibilities are Bobby Valentine (just waiting for that phone to ring) and Jeff Torborg (most thing florida executives want him out) Any thoughts on possible managers... Also is Larry Himes still around anywhere? He should be rehired as GM or a draft coordinator at least

What was that experience? Also what is with the crossed out cross as your avatar?
-
I should say if the team keeps this up
-
Truer words have never been spoken...and crap is what Manuel will be getting from Chicago if he keeps this up
-
Ditto for the Sox if they keep playing this kind of ball. Right now we should just hope the rest of the division sucks as much as we do, the Twins got murdered today...maybe 85 wins will take the crown

Crap.... This has nothing to do with the game, but does anybody here know how to clear a computer's cookies

I have seen those too, I think they either tell you where a wholesaler is, or you get stuff you have to sell, and the money you make from that you can buy a PS2, so technically its free. I wouldn't mess around with any of those, I would just buy the real thing for a higher price.

At Oakland a guy through a cell phone and it hit Carl Everett...Everett plans to press charges...This is not as dramatic as the security breach at the cell, no pun intended(get it cell...and cell phone ...ok that wasn't that funny ) Anyway here is the story OAKLAND -- Rangers right fielder Carl Everett was struck in the back of his head by a cell phone thrown by a fan at Network Associates Coliseum during Saturday's game against the A's. "Luckily, I was wearing a hat," Everett said. "If I wasn't, I would have been cut." A's spokesman Jim Young said the suspect was apprehended and arrested after other fans pointed him out. The identity of the alleged assailant was not available. Everett said he intends to press charges against the person who threw the phone at him. The incident occurred in the bottom of the fifth inning of Oakland's 12-2 victory. "One fan did the deed," Everett said, adding, "He's going to get what's coming to him." After the inning was complete, Everett informed a security guard stationed at the Rangers' bullpen along the right-field line and first-base umpire Fieldin Culbreath what had happened. Rangers manager Buck Showalter joined the conversation at that point, putting his arm around an incensed Everett. "I thought security handled it as well as they could have, but I'm not happy about it, just like Carl wasn't happy about it," Showalter said. "It's tough enough to play the game as it is." There were no further incidents after that, and the game wasn't delayed when the situation was discussed. "Any more problems like that and we would have walked off the field," Showalter said. Everett was gesturing and seemed to be saying things to fans as he returned to the dugout, and he was booed when he came to the plate to lead off the top of the sixth. After he missed an offspeed pitch from Mark Mulder badly, the fans cheered. But the booing returned when Everett drilled a solo home run on the next pitch. As A's right fielder Terrence Long went out to take his position in right field for the top of the sixth, he found the battery from the cell phone and lobbed it over the fence. No details were available about the circumstances surrounding the incident, such as whether the suspect had been drinking or whether other people were involved. Everett was booed by many in the crowd the rest of the day. "I don't think a lot of them knew what was going on," Everett said. "It's just ignorance and alcohol. That's what's causing this." Added Showalter: "I'd like to think the person who did it was intoxicated. I'd hate to think anybody sober would do that." Everett said he has experienced problems in Oakland before with fans throwing objects at him. "We've got great fans here, but there's no call for having things flying out of the stands," A's manager Ken Macha said. Everett at least was able to have a sense of humor about the incident after the game, when he explained why he didn't keep the phone, instead throwing it into the stairwell beyond the right-field fence. "I already have the same phone," Everett said. John Schlegel is a reporter for MLB.com. This story was not subject to the approval of Major League Baseball or its clubs.

I just watched The Ring and I didn't quite understand the ending, my dad was on the phone while I was watching the ending and couldn't hear the dialouge...I want to know the chronology of the little girls life, she was in a mental institution, and she was in a well? Also I want to know why the mom and the kid were duping the tape at the end, I didn't hear anything that was said during that part

I went their once and I met a ton of people from Iowa, they said it's a very popular with kids from Iowa, so I was just wondering if you have ever been there. I am not really familiar with quaint Iowa towns, thanks for filling me in with the name...it seemed like a cool area with all the hills and stuff
