Zelda and Link were very addicting, as was world series baseball. I also had Wrestling, wich was in Black an White (god bless late 80's-early 90's technology). My family used to have tournaments with Top Gun, and I could never land on the damn air craft carrier. Overall I loved NES, especially the Mario/duck hunt combo game. Then in 1994 my brother and I recieved SNES and NES was sold for $20.

Are you an education major at ISU? My gradguated from education at ISU number one in his class earlier this year. I think he was also number one in the business education class. He studies like there is no tomorrow, until I saw him studying, I never saw how much work goes into becoming a teacher.

Both Fischer and Ellerbee failed to keep control of the program off the court, but at least Fischer could coach unlike Ellerbee, who in my opinion couldn't coach his way out of a paper bag. Last week I read "Bo", Bo's autobiography, and in the book there is a chapter about Michigan basketball. The book was written right after Michigan won in 89 with Rice's free throw, and there is a quote from Fischer after he recieved the head coaching job. Fischer told Bo, "Hey Bo, I'm gonna run the kind of program we both want". Bo talks repeatedly in the book about the importance of running a clean program. I can't imagine how disappointed Bo must have been when a part of Michigan history was erased because it turned out Fischer couldn't run a clean program.

B.S. Michigan took a heavy penalty, and don't forget, Michigan didn't go out and "buy" players to win. The man who got players to go to the program, did not work for michigan and it doesn't appear that he was tied to michigan in anyway (other than being a fan). Michigan has to do a better job of keeping people like that away from their players, but this was hardly the worst example violations that has occurred in NCAA history. 1 season, and losing 2 final four appearances, as well as losing everything one of the best teams in UM basketball history accomplished in 2 years is harsh enough.

I imagine that the Sox will start valentin at shortstop, but personally I think Uribe should get the nod, with Valentin there to back him up. If Uribe started the entire season I imagine that he would end up in the .230-.250 range. Not good. But Uribe is fast, is a great defensive shortstop, and is playing under a manager who made a career by being the same style of player. If Uribe had some patience, then maybe he could be in the .260-.270 range. Uribe is still only 24 and the sox can be patient with him, as long as his defense remains sturdy. In my mind, sending him to Triple-A, or sitting him on the bench, would hurt his development. Any opinions on this?

Well actually my statement was directed towards the Packer fans that wear an oversized foam cheese wedge. Those people are the sad ass human beings. As are the Raider fans that wear spikes, black face paint, and all that other crap. If you are a fan who believes in keeping some dignity, then I have no problem with you. Only your team. But if you do wear cheese on your head, then I have no problem calling you a sad ass sports fan. I am retracting my sad ass human being comment, because I don't know enough about the lives of those that wear cheese to call them sad ass human beings, I only know they are sad ass football fans. Apologies to anyone I may have offended. Anyway Go Bears, f*** the packers.

With Horton, Abrams, and Robinson, and now Harris too Michigan is looking like a very good team. After the giant steps they made last season, I will be disappointed if they don't make the NCAA's. Last time I thought Michigan was going to ride to the tournament, Michigan was 12-6 and barely lost to a Duke team that had Battier, Williams, and Dunleavy. Then the NCAA suspended Crawford, and I think Michigan went 4-8 from then on (needless to say, they didn't make it to the tourney). After watching last nights game, I sorely miss Blanchard. He was a good leader and was decent on the boards. Even without him, Michigan is a strong team, and I expect 15-20 wins, a couple Big Ten Tourney wins, and a trip to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since Traylor, and Taylor wore Michigan Jerseys.

I think anyone that wears an oversized foam cheese wedge on their head is a sad ass human. The Packers don't have s*** on the bears.

I have been raised to hate the Packers, and I do hate the Packers. But the Packers have provided some humor in my life and have made the NFL more enjoyable, here is why: 1) Davenport went to a college party his rookie year and s*** in a random girls closet, I couldn't stop laughing when I heard that, it made mini-camp very humerous. 2) The Packers provided John Elway with his first Super Bowl ring. Elway was blown out in his previous attempts, it was great to see him finally win won, thank you packers! 3) The Packers provided the bears with their only inspirational moment of the 2000 season when the Bears beat the Packers in Green Bay...oh what a boring NFL year it would have been otherwise, thank you packers! 4) The Packers allowed Walter Payton to average over 100 yds per game against them, thank you Packers for bowing down to the greatest running back of all time! 5) The Packers gave Mike Vick a warm welcome to the playoffs on a cold night in Green Bay, thank you packers for being and ample doormat, and allowing Vick and the Falcons to get some well deserved attention on National TV. (by the way nice tackling in that game!) Whether it is providing humor, a much needed victory, or just helping out NFL stars, the Packers have always been reliable.

at what point do they put him in front of a firing squad?

You missed one hell of an experience

Best case scenario for the bears: Bears beat packers Seahawks beat Vikings Chargers beat Lions (though it has few implications, it is always nice to see the Lions lose if you are a bear fan). Resulting Standings: Vikings 7-6 remaining games: @Bears, vs. Chiefs, @Cardinals Bears 6-7 remaining games: vs. Minnesota, vs. Redskins, @Chiefs Packers 6-7 remaining games: @San Diego, @Oakland, vs. Denver Lions 4-9 remaining games: @KC, @Carolina, vs. St. Louis So the bears must beat Green Bay, Minnesota, Redskins Vikings lose to Seahawks, Bears and Chiefs Green Bay loses to bears, denver then, all 3 are 8-8, but I am not sure who would get the nod

You are probably right about him not sucking at St. Johns, but I don't remember him even starting there, but I am no expert. I think whoever made the comment about Lopez being in jail was simpling using a bit of social commentery based on the number of standout basketball players that don't make it and end up in trouble with the law *cough* Leon Smith *cough*

Yeah, the word f***ed is used a lot, and there are several references to anal sex and several other raunchy stuff happens. The movie is comic genious, and the laughs come from more than just 'cheap dirty humor', and like all holiday films there is a great underlying message. It is far more humerous, and far more inciteful than I thought it would be.

1 Detroit, MI 2 St. Louis, MO 3 Atlanta, GA 4 Camden, NJ 5 Washington, DC 6 Compton, CA 7 Dayton, OH 8 Baltimore, MD 9 Tampa, FL 10 Gary, IN 11 Memphis, TN 12 North Charleston, SC 13 New Orleans, LA 14 Richmond, VA 15 Trenton, NJ 16 Jackson, MS 17 Cincinnati, OH 18 Youngstown, OH 19 Cleveland, OH 20 Springfield, MA 21 Oakland, CA 22 Birmingham, AL 23 Miami, FL 24 Richmond, CA 25 Reading, PA Obviously though, these rankings can not speak for the cities, because based on my own experiences, Detroit, St. Louis, Atlanta, DC, Baltimore, New Orleans and Miami all have nice areas. What I got out of the list is: Don't get lost in any of these cities. A kid from my jr. high actually got lost on the eighth grade field trip, and walked from Arlington Cemetery to the Capitol trying to find the rest of the class (which was waiting for him back at Arlington), but he walked for 2 hours and journeyed through some s***ty neighborhoods. The kid was lucky that nothing happened, my jr. high school would have been sued up the ass.

I saw Bad Santa and elf over the weekend, and while 'elf' was "cute", and got a couple of laughs from me, Bad Santa was hilarious. I loved every minute of it, Billy Bob Thorton was great, as were John Ritter, and Bernie Mac. I recommend seeing it, just don't bring a long the kids, because it is pretty raunchy.

I did a major double take when I was scrolling down the page and saw a thread titled 'black people' Anyway, I am fine with people of all races, creed, and nationality. I listen to rap music, I like to wear jerseys on occasion, I own a throwback hat, and I often say "Tupac was 'da s***".

You don't have to tell me about Michigan's troubles in those 2 games and 3 quarters of the minnesota game, I paid 15 dollars to watch the oregon game and nearly puched, after the Iowa game I wanted to shoot, Finley, Rivas, and the special teams coach. Still, though, both those games were shootouts, and both were lost by poor execution, I don't think Perry or the lack there of was the real reason we lost either of those games. As soon as we jumped out to the 14-0 lead against Iowa, Iowa marched down the field. In the oregon game, Oregon torched our defense on the very first drive (we ended up blocking a field goal from the three to end the drive, but it made us look bad right from the start). Defense cost us those games. Lloyd Carr allowing Navarre to run a naked boot leg deep in MSU territory (of course navarre was hit and fumbled, and the fumble war returned for a td to make the score 27-20) while michigan was trying to run out the clock against MSU was by far Carr's worst moment of the year.

Yes, I do remember him, and yes he did go to St. Johns. He was aweful at St. Johns, and he fell off the face of the earth. I haven't heard anything since, but I don't remember him being a thug type. Probably playing with Leon Smith, and Ronnie Fields in the 'never was' league.

yeah, Vazquez would be a great addition, I think I saw that Baltimore did not pick up Cruz's option. He wouldn't be a bad guy to have on the team. You are right about Lopez, he has power potential, but he has not shown it at all in the majors. In fact he has been down right aweful. He knows how to get on base though, his OB% dwarfed his batting average, but neither were close to stellar.

I love your support for Perry, but you have to remember Perry lost out on some carries because Michigan had to play major catch up in both of those losses, so Navarre was passing almost every down. But Perry clearly showed against MSU and OSU that if he is given the ball in a pressure situation, he will come through. My favirote part about watching Perry is how he gets up very lathargically(sp?) after every carry and it looks as if he is about to drop dead, then they hand him the ball and he explodes back to life. Reminds me Jim Brown highlights that I have seen.
