The quote just seems to lump the Sox as "speculative fits based on need." While it's true that catcher is a need, doesn't mean that they have actually shown any interest.

Rosenthal says Yankees talking Beltran deal with rangers and indians. If they pry a decent pitching prospect (Tate or Ortiz), would that be enough to package to white sox with the other pieces: Frazier, Torres, Sanchez, Judge, Severino etc.
