Why isn't Ricky Henderson ever in Steroid talk?

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Feb 13, 2010 -> 10:03 AM) Rickey had the best line I have ever heard in an interview over 20 years ago about playing hurt. I'll never forgot it. "When I'm injury, I'm totally concentrated of my mind." The guy interviewing him just moved on like it made perfect sense. Probably made perfect sense to Yogi Berra. -

QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Feb 9, 2010 -> 07:38 PM) Nice to see the Bulls take care of business against a bad team tonight (and at Indiana too, where they have seemed to struggle in recent years). Be nice if they can beat Orlando and get above .500 going into the break tomorrow. It was nice to see them pull it off in the 4th quarter because for the first three quarters it wasn't lookin' too good. -

How about Travis Bickle in Taxi Driver?

This is being done out of respect for Little Louie and with his OK. How can anyone have a problem with it?

I decided only earlier today to pull for the Saints. I'm glad they won. The commercials mostly were not memorable. I liked the Simpsons Coke commercial maybe the best. The Who were alright especially considering the age of Pete and Roger. I'm very nearly 60 and they're older than me...they gotta be close to 70. Considering the Who as a band were in their prime about 40 years ago...that was a pretty good performance.

That 1967 snow was something. I remember totally deserted streets (except for abandoned cars). Nobody could get around. And as I recall, about 4 inches were predicted. We got 23 inches making it, I believe the largest single snowfall in Chicago history.

I often feel like I missed the 1980's.

Pffft. This is so Cub-like. "The Cubs believe the surcharge is fair because of all the business they bring to the Cactus League." Some things never change.

QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 5, 2010 -> 03:02 AM) My Soxtalk brothers and sisters! Now I'm not drunked. But I definitely buzzed. So bare with me. If you have a recurring dream about your potential death what does that mean? Because I have dreams consistently about being choked to death by a Mo Vaughn sized anaconda. This freaks me the f*** out. I'll wake up and I'll see the damn snake in my room. One time I screamed like a sissy Bobby Trendy girl. I'm getting worried. What does this mean? It means lay off the drugs. I'm kidding kinda. Back 40 years ago when I was real messed up on drugs I had a couple of recurring dreams. In one of them I was always in this all white room. The walls were white...everything was white. I was wearing white clothing. All of a sudden my mom charges in the room wielding this huge knife and starts hacking me up and blood is splattering everywhere. Not cool. In the other which I had a lot, I floated. That doesn't sound scary but it was real creepy. The thing was I didn't want to float but I would just start floating around in the air and I could never get down. Nobody else floated, just me. I was seeing a psychiatrist every week because I had a bad trip and was having a lot of trouble with the after effects, namely flashbacks (come on Thorazine, do your stuff!), anyway I told the psychiatrist about these floating dreams and he said try going with it. A lot of people wish they could fly in dreams. So I tried. And tried. Finally in one dream, I just took off flying and it was awesome. I was digging it. It cured me of the terrifying floating dreams. You mentioned screaming. One time back then my family was visiting my mom's cousin and we spent the night there. I had this dream where I walked up to a bathtub/shower and the shower curtain was drawn closed. I pulled the shower curtain open to see two bodies lying in the tub and they were both me. I f***ing screamed and woke up everybody in the house. It was embarrassing.

Reminds me of a time about 20 years ago when I was working as a night auditor. Each night in the wee hours of the morning we would have to go to each restaurant and bar (lotsa free booze, since we had access to all keys) and close out the cash registers. Sometimes at the Rec Center they would leave the nacho cheese dispenser on so that the cheese would be nice and hot and we could fix ourselves a plate of nachos. One night when they failed to do this I noticed sitting on top of the garbage a huge can which the cheese came in. I inspected it and saw that there was quite a bit of cheese still in it. I figured it hadn't been but a couple of hours since they closed and if I nuked the cheese it would be safe for consumption. Boy, was I wrong! It didn't taste bad so I ate quite a bit. This must have been about 4 am. I got off of work at 7 am. No sooner did I get home from work and I started getting sick. I happened to weigh myself beforehand. By 11 am when I was pretty much done being sick I weighed myself again and I had lost 7 pounds, that's how f***ing sick I got.

Buehrle just out of respect for the fact that he has been THE guy for the Sox for the past decade. Peavy should understand this.
