Were this an actual team, they would have to forfeit the game. Most of the player are on the DL

QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Sep 6, 2005 -> 06:38 PM) According to Gameday and the whitesox.com, Adkins is back. Let's hope by "back", they mean back working as a greeter at Wal Mart. :puke Jon Adkins Diet -
Congrats to AJ Pierzynski

Here's to A.J. Now work on making a boy the White Sox can have another tough, hard-nosed left handed hitting catcher in 20 years -

There are few players I loathe like :puke Jose Lima. That being said we will score 6 runs off of Lima because we have the power of the Crede Banner on our side. -
Uribe has not only been hitting, but he has been showing discipline at the plate. Uribe has actually been walking recently. It is no conincidence that the sox have been scoring runs without the 8 and 9 wholes (Crede and Uribe) being automatic outs. Uribe looks like a major league shortstop right now. ... And Crede, ... I like his banner.

Black Jack will be doing the playoff postgame show

Black Jack doesn't still have that ridiculous looking blonde hair or soul patch on his chin, does he? -
QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Sep 4, 2005 -> 11:48 AM) Pods, LF Iguchi, 2B Everett, DH PK, 1B Rowand, CF Dye, RF AJ, C Blum, SS Ozuna, 3B I think the "Sunday Special" line up is being saved for the trip to Boston. Which is fine because the important players can stay home in rest. I am not sure why Uribe is being rested though except for the fact that I can not remember his last day off.
-
If it is any consolation to Ross Gload supporters, I am quite certain that he will be starting at 1B on Monday when we trot the B-team out against Boston. He will be batting fourth behind LF Timo Perez.

QUOTE(Reddy @ Sep 4, 2005 -> 01:00 PM) not this time. neither team wants to play, therefore it really means nothing - especially if we do send our b team. the result of the game doesnt matter whatsoever I could not agree more. A win is a win. I would rather the more important players stay home on Monday and watch the game on TV. A travel day is exhausting enough for most people, but it must be more so for athletes. I would be fine if Timo batted third on Monday. Just as long as we are rested and healthy for the most important month. OCTOBER.
-
I would not be the least bit offended if Ozzie pull out the "Sunday Special" line up for this game at Boston since several of the players are not making the trip. I would like to sweep Detroit and beat Boston. However I worry about 2 flights in 24 hours wearing on the everyday players. So lets hope Ozzie saves the Sunday special line up with Gload, Timo, Blum and the rest of th B-Team for Monday.

QUOTE(sayitaintso @ Sep 2, 2005 -> 11:39 PM) The Crede banner strikes again!! May the Crede banner never come down, even when Crede is mo longer with the White Sox.
-
I don't know why Sox fans are so bothered by Moronoti. If you don't like what his says, don't read it. I skip his column daily. I you don't stop worrying so much about what he says, you are going to give yourselves an ulcer.

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Sep 2, 2005 -> 10:42 AM) It's kinda like my Ben Davis sig last year. Damned if he didn't hit over .300 while I donned it. One Miralce at a time please!
-
QUOTE(knightni @ Sep 2, 2005 -> 10:11 AM) If only the power of the Crede banner worked for Joe Crede... We'll take it one day at a time and try to win. Then we can give Crede his own personal message board with a Joe Crede banner. Than Crede might hit .300/25hr/90rbi.
-
The Power of Crede! Even if we lose a game or two, the banner has earned its merit. We have to loose a few statistically speaking, we just have to worry about the Indians getting a Crede banner. May the Crede banner never be taken down.

I post a nice link about Ross a few days ago and now he goes and makes himself look like a tool. I have empathy for his situation, but now Ozzie will never play except as a defensive replacement and pinch runner/hitter. Unless he signs with Tampa or Pittsburgh next year, he may never see the major leagues again after this outburst. :headshake

QUOTE(joeynach @ Sep 2, 2005 -> 02:26 AM) After todays game i decided to take a look at our team BA. Lets consider the below to be our normal starting lineup (ozuna in for crede on DL). Pods Tad Carl PK Aaron Dye AJ Ozuna Uribe This lineup has an collect batting average of .273! Thats not bad at all. In fact its about 13 points higher than our team BA, meaning this is the strongest lineup we have and should be playing the majority until we clinch. Any team that on a given day bats .273 and given 27 outs would statistically earn about 7.37 hits per game, now add walks and other ways of getting on base and you have a good (not great) offense that should be able to win series from here on out. Offensively speaking, this is the best line up the White Sox have. Ozuna is better offensively than Blum or Crede, but he is a butcher boy at third. And has anybody notice that (gulp) Uribe's avg has been slowly climbing toward .250. For a while he was starting to look like Royve Clayton so that is impressive.

QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Sep 2, 2005 -> 12:48 AM) What we really need is a few more guys with Z's in their last names who can't hit for s***. World Series here we come. Guys with Z's in their names Timo Perez Pablo Ozuna Willie Z. Harris ??

-
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Aug 31, 2005 -> 02:03 PM) Good to hear, after the way he pitched yesterday, he most definitely deserves it. He got it poured on him, but not old enough to drink it.

QUOTE(mccarthyp @ Aug 31, 2005 -> 01:54 PM) Yes, he got his beer shower. It's dumb, but it's tradition. Wasting beer is a sin

QUOTE(NO!!MARY!!! @ Aug 31, 2005 -> 01:09 PM) Ok, Lester. Do you want to kill Dybzinski with your bare hands too, Lester? Are you sure the three runs scored, anemic offense and pathetic performance by Greg Luzinski didn't contribute to the loss in some way, Lester? -
QUOTE(retro1983hat @ Aug 31, 2005 -> 09:56 AM) I thought I had heard that when a starting pitcher gets his first win, the team pours beer over him after the game. Is this correct? Does anyone know if BMac got the beer shower last night? I take a beer shower every day myself
