That team made 13 fewer errors than any other team in the majors, and they were simultaneously #4 in putouts. It sure looks like they're making up for their team's lack of really dominant pitchers by having pitchers who let batters put the ball in play & count on their defense to do the job. And those numbers sure suggest to me that it worked. Interesting. Admittedly, the Rockies gain about as much of my interest as the Washington Nationals and the crumbs than built up at the bottom of the toaster. That being said, it still amazes me that they made it this far with such borderline pitching.

The season's over, why hasn't Ned Yost been fired yet?

Just looking at the Rockies roster, they have Francis and then a huge drop off in starting pitching. Their #2 guy is really Josh Fogg. If the D-Backs are all pitching, the Rox appear to get by mostly on offense.

Just a reminder Soxtalkers, if we have learned nothing else this season, it is not back any team this year. We made the Brewers s*** away their 7 game lead and s*** all over themselves. Let's not officially back or endorse any team for these playoffs. in '08

I suspect most of Wisconsin has already given up on the Brewers and was watching the Packers today. So since an entire state has forgotten about the time, I think it is time we did too and closed this God foresaken thread.

Offseason to do list for Brewers: 1) Bullpen 2) 2 Decent catchers not named Miller or Estada. One of which has to be ready to start, play defense, and hit 3) After Yost is fired, release his home address to the media and encourage fans to egg his house.

I can't believe he swung 3-1. He should be fired right after Yost.

If the Brewers could get ahold of Toby Hall they would lead MLB in catchers that absolutely suck.
