  1. This is just embarassing. Management better get ready for a lot more empty seats next year. I suspect a lot will not be renewing their season tickets either.
  2. The starting ;line up sucks so much more ass without Thome.
  3. QUOTE(elrockinMT @ Aug 25, 2007 -> 11:50 AM) We are close to having the worse record in all of baseball, but we are all still Sox fans and the great thing about baseball is there is always next year. Let me feel the love! B) Tampa seems to have strange hold on that title. They are nearly 50percentage points below us in winning percentage.
  4. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Aug 25, 2007 -> 04:29 AM) maybe we will get that stud 3B from Vandy now ... unless BorASS becomes his agent.
  5. Praise the Lord and go back where you came from!!!
  6. This would be good news only if it helps make Cuban Cigars legal in this country again.
  7. The only reason this game has not been cancelled yet is Mr. Reinsdorf is trying to milk a few extra dollars out of all the Boston fans at the concession stands.
  8. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Aug 23, 2007 -> 02:15 PM) I'm not sure Theo respects KW, with the stupid offers he makes us. I was thinking this exact same thing. In the unlikely event that the Sawx get overtaken by the Yanks in the division or struggle offensively in the playoffs, Thoe migh tlook stupid for night offering more for die. I almost hope this is the case.
  9. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Aug 22, 2007 -> 09:01 PM) Frickin' Brewers...screwing over Brandon Webb now. I hate that team! If the were going to break his scoreless streak, at least they could have got off their lazy ass and won the game.
  10. I am amazed that the Texas reliever got a save in the box score.
  11. I have never gone winless at homes games since I was in grade school, but I am 0-7 this year. At least I saw a road win. This is the last game that I have tickets for. ....please
  12. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Aug 20, 2007 -> 10:14 PM) Owens is a way better baserunner than Joey is, but has not nearly the bat control and ability, so I wouldn't count on it. when Owens is 45 then?
  13. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Aug 20, 2007 -> 10:11 PM) Well .375 in 128 at bats now, and not roids, he's just figured out how to beat all the drawn in infields he sees because of his speed now, plus he can bunt. And he's a career .270 hitter btw. ... I was joking about the 'roids ... * cough cough Gary Matthews Jr. was defense and no hitting for long time too. So there is hope for Jerry Owens too ... when he is 40.
  14. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Aug 20, 2007 -> 10:05 PM) Except Gathright is hitting .375 this year, but hey don't let facts get in the way of a good argument. WOw, that surprises me. 'Roids??? .363 in 124 at bats is actually almost respectable. But he is a career .260 hitter.
  15. The brewers really have their work cut out for them tonight. I wonder how they are going to manage to blow a 9-0 lead and squander a chance to pick up ground on the unstoppable force that is the Cubs?
  16. Gathwright only seems to manage to non-suck at hitting against the White Sox. What a poser!
  17. I will be much more inclined to support Richar when he gets his batting average above the Brian Anderson line and stops speaking to Greg Walker.
  18. My only concerns would be A) I am not sure that we have a viable replacement (and don't give me that Gavin Floyd BS, and on a much much much lesser note B ) isn't Garland pretty tight with Buehrle.
  19. QUOTE(greg775 @ Aug 19, 2007 -> 05:59 PM) But I am starting to think Owens can't hit. And to bring up another sore subject, I think we is getting a lot more leeway than Brian Anderson ever did purely in terms of not hitting at the major league level.
  20. QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Aug 19, 2007 -> 05:54 PM) What difference does draft position make if the organization won't change their philosophy? What is the difference if the White Sox draft Danks 4th or 10th? Oh right, he gets more money. Because when the White Sox refuse to sign him, they can just keep collecting compensation picks until they have 10 in the first round in 2017! Then KW's philosophy pays off and we finally succeed in the draft.
  21. The good news is after this game, we will be in line for the 4th pick in the draft. While the D-Rays are way out of range, the Pirates and Giants are catchable
  22. QUOTE(chisoxt @ Aug 19, 2007 -> 04:13 PM) there are two guys who should not see the light of day on the Sox infield. Jaun Uribe should be gone for good, and Josh Fields who should immediately begin trying out left field. The left side of this infiled absolutley blows. As Hawk says, you cannot hit enough to compensate for bad defense. do to a lack of other options, I suspect Swing from the Heals Uribe will be our starting SS again next year.
  23. Based on the holes this team has and the way many of next year's starters are playing right now, I will say there is no chance in hell this team contends.
