  1. Swish with a 7 game hitting streak and Ramirez now batting .286.
  2. QUOTE (VAfan @ Jun 8, 2008 -> 01:16 PM) Does anyone else think this is aberational, to have only 4 teams in baseball at .500 or above on the road on June 8th? 2 of the 3 clubs at .600 or better have losing road records (BoSox, Cubs). When did baseball get such a home field advantage? Normally there are about 8-10 teams with road records of .500 or better at the end of the year, so 4 is pretty low. The good thing for the Sox is that we not only have more home games for the remainder of the season, we also have an easier SoS.
  3. QUOTE (BobDylan @ Jun 8, 2008 -> 01:20 PM) It's gotta be Ellsbury right now based on those runs at SB's. 28 swipes already? Wow. David Murphy has some pretty good numbers too, 20 doubles and 7 HR's. Ellsbury has a total of 12 XBH's. In comparison, Ramirez has 10 XBH's in 70 less AB's than Ellsbury.
  4. We currently own the biggest division lead in MLB. Lets add another game onto it and go to 10 games over .500 for the first time since 2006.
  5. QUOTE (tommy @ Jun 7, 2008 -> 06:01 PM) I love those backhand/turnaround plays by OC. 72
  6. It is so nice not to have to rely on CQ to provide the offense. 7 runs and he is 0-3.
  7. QUOTE (Wanne @ Jun 7, 2008 -> 05:42 PM) So OC continues this the rest of the year...you're Kenny...what do you do? Or is OC just auditioning for another team...or a probable return to LA? He will be a year older at SS and will want a pay check that the Sox are probably not willing to give him.
  8. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jun 7, 2008 -> 05:40 PM) I'm 99% sure thats the case, the only way possible would be if they ignored his 07 season (but I'm 99.9% sure they don't do that). He is pretty much a lock for Type B though (which is still pretty solid, assuming of course the Sox are willing to take guys slotted to go in the 2nd round as opposed to trying to get cheap if they end up having a couple early picks). Yeah, it is almost impossible for him to move to a Type "A" unless he wins the Triple Crown and Gold Glove while the guys that are ahead of him completely suck and all hit .200 with a ton of errors.
  9. Paulie with a triple and a nice defensive stop at 1B in the same game.
  10. This team is killing the ball. ARam with a solid single.
  11. Nick looks soooo much better at the dish. That's a triple if Dye is not held.
  12. Is this our year? http://www.rotoworld.com/content/HeadLines...B&hl=240247
  13. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jun 6, 2008 -> 09:14 PM) I predict we will see Zambrano twice. Rainout or something crazy. I think we'll go 2-4 or 1-5 vs. Cubs. There is a vote of confidence. If we get to their starters, we can easily split if not win the 6 game series. I say 4-2.
  14. Huge series. Would be nice for a series win to pad our lead in the Division. Twinkies 12-13 on grass and the road.
  15. QUOTE (tommy @ Jun 5, 2008 -> 05:51 PM) Trying to pick off OCAB at first, they misthrow, OCAB takes second. He's intimidating them like Pods in 05.
  16. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jun 5, 2008 -> 05:47 PM) I've really enjoyed watching Toby this year. It is amazing what a little health does for a player.
