  1. QUOTE(longshot7 @ Mar 20, 2006 -> 03:16 PM) can they take both Logan & Thornton, since it doesn't look like Hermanson will be there? So instead of having one worthless arm, there will be two?
  2. QUOTE(elrockinMT @ Mar 20, 2006 -> 02:55 PM) I don't like the trade at all and I think Joe Borchard was going to be a good 4th outfielder for the Sox. This almost looks like a desperation trade to get another lefty reliever into the mix. I think Joe B had more upside and versatility than Gload or Pablo Ozuna. Hopes that Don Cooper can turn Thornton around can only lead one to assume that you don't have to have talent to pitch at the big league level only a miracle worker for a pitching coach. But, the trade is apparently done so we can only hope for the best. Thats basically how I feel. I thought Borchard would be a good 4th outfielder here, and he's a class guy from everything I've read. Oh well.
  3. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Mar 19, 2006 -> 09:57 PM) This kid is borderline arrogant. If he can get guys out, so be it. Like jphatt said, I don't really think he's being arrogant. He's confident that he'll be able to get the job done, which is a good thing. I don't get the feeling from those quotes that he's arrogant.
  4. Just for perspective, right now, ESPN's top 100 list of draft prospects has Rush at #33, and is projecting him to be a mid-late first round pick.
  5. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Mar 19, 2006 -> 11:17 PM) Vince Young also did all he could in college football and won the National Championship. Rush obviously hasn't proved himself at the big stage of his sport by any means. He could have won the Heisman
  6. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Mar 19, 2006 -> 10:43 PM) Until his name circulates in every 1st round discussion and he learns what kind of money he might be in for. This sort of reminds me of Vince Young, who said constantly that he was going to be coming back to Texas for his senior year. When it was all over however, he ended up declaring for the draft. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, Rush isn't in to be a top 5 pick, so he won't have nearly as much pressure to enter the draft as Young had, but he should still have a fair amount.
  7. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Mar 19, 2006 -> 08:39 PM) It's hard to argue otherwise right now. Thats basically how I feel. It would be a very hard argument to win
  8. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Mar 19, 2006 -> 10:17 PM) I got f***ed in round one. I had Iowa in the Championship. I also hate NW State. So basically when I saw Iowa lost, bracket = garbage I had the same thing And yet, I'm in third right now in the SoxTalk group
  9. Who cares? And you spelled Mackowiak wrong again
  10. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Mar 19, 2006 -> 07:33 PM) Of course it is a situation. The reffing in NCAA basketball is terrible and needs to be improved. No way should anyone disagree with this. Yea, the reffing isn't that good, but what I was talking about was a bias against the Illini, or Big 10 teams. The refs aren't getting paid off here, they are just being human and making mistakes.
  11. QUOTE(THEWOOD @ Mar 19, 2006 -> 06:55 PM) interesting comment...where is Minnesota? Still in the NIT baby! (and a #2 seed in hockey )
  12. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Mar 19, 2006 -> 06:50 PM) ^^^ Man, I was going to make a sig similar to what yours is right now, but not Indiana Way to read my mind and do it first
  13. QUOTE(Buehrle>Wood @ Mar 19, 2006 -> 06:10 PM) Because ignoring the situation and letting the NCAA get away with things like this is much better. Its *not* a situation. You are making something out of nothing.
  14. QUOTE(whitesoxin' @ Mar 19, 2006 -> 05:18 PM) Ok thanks for your input. I just didn't want to go with eveyone and pick Texas because I don't think they are that good. I agree whole heartedly
  15. My Georgetown pick in this game is looking pretty good so far. Hoyas up 18-10 with 10 minutes left in the half.
  16. Ross Gload.. beautiful play, but is in pain.
  17. Jermaine with a 2 RBI single, then thrown out when trying to advance to second
  18. Paulie with a nice double, moving Uribe to third (singled past the SS the AB before).
  19. Gload grounds out to second to start off the game.
  20. It looks like its Ben Hendrickson starting the game off on the mound for the Brewers, not Dave Bush.
  21. If Texas loses, I might actually have a shot at the SoxTalk group. Everyone seems to have them in the final four or final two, and yet I had them losing to Iowa
  22. QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Mar 19, 2006 -> 12:37 PM) Gonzaga hasn't won anything, there's no need to call them Gonzaga West, I get what you're saying but still. Anyways Gonzaga won't be going to the Final Four so we won't see a matchup. Duke West*
  23. Thome.. so soon? Good thing its nothing serious
