I don't really see how Joe Borchard is not hot, but Ross Gload is hot. Borchard is hitting .227/.292/.545 with 2 HR and 5 RBI, while Gload is hitting .250/.318/.500 with 1 HR and 4 RBI. Not much of a difference there.. Nice article nonetheless.

QUOTE(WhiteSox311 @ Mar 13, 2006 -> 09:54 PM) Mar 12 According to The Chicago Tribune, the Chicago White Sox rotation of SP Mark Buehrle, SP Jose Contreras, SP Freddy Garcia, SP Jon Garland and SP Javier Vazquez has allowed only 11 earned runs in 43 innings, for a 2.30 ERA. If this is talking about Spring Training this year, the number is wrong According to this, those 5 pitchers have thrown 33 innings, not 43, while allowing 11 earned runs. So the ERA is 3.00, not 2.30. Still good though

I'm looking forward to the new skin

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 09:50 PM) lol, why is this pinned? For those of us who have no other tournament to get their hopes up for.

So wait, can someone explain to me something about the NIT? According to this, one of Miami (Ohio), Minnesota, Notre Dame, or Wake Forest would get a spot taken away if one of the group 5 teams didn't make the NCAA tourny. Delaware State didn't make the NCAA tourny, so I thought they were supposed to take one of the spots away from Group 4, however all 4 of the teams I mentioned before are in the final bracket. Anyone NIT savvy here? Wait, nevermind. The extra spot is because of Utah State, who made the NCAA tourny.

PSU had some big wins, but they weren't as deserving as some others. I just realized PSU is playing Rutgers in the first round. That should be hilarious for my family, one brother goes to PSU as a grad student, the other to Rutgers.

Minnesota!!! I was scared for a minute that ND would get in instead, but *phew* Time to take the NIT by storm

QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 07:53 PM) s***, I'm gonna have to take a look to see if my team can at least make that. Same here, and it looks like Minnesota is going to get snubbed because of Delaware State -
QUOTE(Timoperezrulez @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 07:23 PM) What ever happend to my man Ben Davis? The same Ben Davis that was paid something like a million dollars to sit down in AAA?

Can I rant about the NIT? -
Michigan doesn't deserve to be in at all.. (I know that I've said this countless times in other threads )
-
lol.. Tenn is a 2?

QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 06:25 PM) Doesn't this mean Michigan is out? They should be. They don't deserve a spot.

QUOTE(Jordan4life_2006 @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 05:48 PM) Warner was pretty good when healthy. That's obviously the key. I don't know much about their o-line. But when was the last time they had a back even half as good as James? Probably around the same time they last had a winning record. And Warner was pretty good. Unfortunetly, he is now an average QB. He's 34 years old and hasn't played 16 games since 2001. He completes his passes at a high percentage, but his TD:INT ratio is nothing special.
-
If the Cards had a better QB and upgraded OL, then yea, this offense would be pretty good. However, I think you guys are exaggerating Warner as a QB.

Oh hell yea Nice stuff

QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 11:57 AM) Have they finally given up on Michael Bennett? He's a free agent.

QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Mar 12, 2006 -> 08:14 AM) Cintron may be able to play first base but he has never played a game there in his MLB career. Also, Mackowiak has played a total of 5 games at first base in his MLB career. Timo had 0 games at first in his career before last year, but that didn't stop Ozzie from putting him there at some point during 2 games. The same can be said for Jermaine Dye, who everyone wanted to put there if Paulie left during the offseason, who had never played first before last year, when he got put there during a game. I know that with Mack, we are talking about putting him there more than 3 times during the year, but I don't think it will really matter how experienced he is there. If Ozzie and company believe that he can do the job, they'll put him there, and I'm sure that if they plan on using him at first during the season, they'll give him plenty of practice.

I think Timo Perez should be our CF.
-
He better not play first base. No need to risk anything even if it is just the slightest risk.

QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Mar 11, 2006 -> 07:49 PM) ...as for Brandon Lloyd, it's a bit odd watching teams compete FOR a former-Illini. Don't you see them lining up to try and get Kurt Kittner?

QUOTE(YASNY @ Mar 11, 2006 -> 07:13 PM) I know of a guy that fits your description to a tee. And he's a lefty. Damaso Marte. I don't think he can pitch another inning in a White Sox uniform without getting booed.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Mar 11, 2006 -> 04:53 PM) Aside from Pittsburgh and Dallas, who else would be interested in Randle El's services? Those have been the other 2 teams I've heard floated. Philadelphia

QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Mar 11, 2006 -> 06:40 PM) The Browns weren't really that far off from being .500 this year. They are going in the right direction. Weren't they 6-10? Yea, its not far off, but in the NFL, two games is a lot.
