  1. QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Mar 1, 2006 -> 07:14 PM) I'm really liking Rob Mackowiak... that's all I can say. Seconded. He's quickly become one of my favorite Sox for some reason
  2. QUOTE(chitownsportsfan @ Mar 1, 2006 -> 10:04 PM) I swear half the board could write more informative previews than ESPN's staff: That's like saying, "Concerned about your finances, hello roulette table!" I mean, Thome's a gamble to stay healthy, and finances is so much more than just betting on ONE SINGLE THING to go right. Another "blah" preview piece I I guess. He's not as much of a gamble to stay healthy as you indicate. Last year was, IIRC, the first time he's had a major injury in his career.
  3. QUOTE(Steff @ Mar 1, 2006 -> 10:07 PM) What do you mean he's had a hard time adjusting? It's a logistics issue having to do with his family that's the issue. By adjusting, I mean to a new team. He seemed to be emotionally connected to last years team, and this organization, and coming back to get a ring could be a tough thing for him to do, knowing that he won't be apart of the team this year. For all I know, he could be fine with it, and gotten past it, but I'm just speculating.
  4. As much as I think Aaron should come back, I don't think he will. It sounds as if he's had a hard time adjusting to not being on the Sox, a team he loves, and any progress he has made in terms of moving on could be set back if he came back. That being said, I'd love to see him and the others back.. yes, even Marte.
  5. QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Mar 1, 2006 -> 07:08 PM) He will. I'm with sleepy on this one. I'm talking about Iverson, not Bowen.
  6. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Mar 1, 2006 -> 11:58 AM) He'll also be 33 by 08. Has he shown any hint of slowing down?
  7. QUOTE(robinventura23 @ Mar 1, 2006 -> 04:54 PM) I'd rather Owens be in CF. But I like what I see. Huh? He's a leftfielder, and his defense is supposedly atroscious in CF.
  8. All of the sarcasm jokes are being used before I can post them
  9. QUOTE(Dam8610 @ Feb 28, 2006 -> 11:20 PM) I want to say repeat, but I just can't see it happening, so I'll just say anybody but Duke. I'll agree with that
  10. QUOTE(Jimbo's Drinker @ Mar 1, 2006 -> 01:04 AM) Coach K commerical This is pretty funny, palehose fan will like htis. QUOTE(SnB @ Feb 28, 2006 -> 10:17 PM) HAHA.........Coach K cartoon
  11. Wait, you are complaining about Hinrich, but not Iverson? Iverson is better than most of the players on that team, and has been successful on the US team before. He's a leader, and expressed interest in playing again.
  12. Oh well Minny At home, Minny is a NCAA tourny team, but on the road, they are nothing
  13. That's a crap way to go into the half. I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up for this game
  14. Lets go Minny! Upset another ranked team in the Big 10
  15. Paulie's hit was downright amazing, but I thought we had a chance to get back in it with him at the plate. With Pods, it was completely unexpected, so I'll give Pods the vote.
  16. QUOTE(Felix @ Feb 27, 2006 -> 11:24 PM) 24 seconds for those sort of questions is more than enough time, especially when most take 5-10 seconds, and you get to use the excess time on other questions which might be a bit more difficult. Its actually ~14 seconds per question (I don't know how I got 24 seconds), and still, thats plenty of time.
  17. Brooks is a mess. He's not worth the money it would cost to bring him in. And as for those of you who want a scrambling quarterback for the Bears, why? Scrambling QBs are just more injury and turnover prone, and when your team wins with defense, its better that you don't turn the ball over.
