I was confused for a bit why Grossman wasn't mentioned in the poll, but then I looked at who posted it, and it all made sense. Grossman will be the starter to start the year next year. Orton will be the backup, and Blake will be the backup's backup. Randle El will be the backup's backup's backup.

Without looking closer though, Wilkerson is at least as good an offensive player as Blalock. Then, take a look at Blalock's splits. Outside of TBIA, Blalock has hit .243/.300/.407 in the last three years, while at TBIA, he's hit .316/.382/.560. His numbers are home greatly affect his overall numbers and make it look as if he's really a good hitter, but from what I can tell, he just benefits greatly from hitting in a gigantic hitters park. Wilkerson has also benefited from a hitters park in the last three years (although last year was in RFK, a pitchers heaven), hitting .262/.378/.476 at home and .251/.359/.438 on the road. Even though the difference is noticeable between these splits, they are more consistant than what Blalock puts up for 162 games a year (or however many he plays). Also, how on earth can you consider Seattle a top offensive team? They are one of the worst in the American league..

But he hit .176!

Yea, I know I took a lot of White Sox. I think Paulie will have another 40/100 year, while I believe Iguchi will further his game hitting later in the lineup. As for Juan, I think he can be a solid #2 hitter with the protection he has in the lineup. The league doesn't take into account OBP, and he provides some solid power for a SS. I took Crede for the few months in the year he is above average, and the power he provides. AJP is a good backup at catcher, and will hit a fair amount of homeruns. Right now, I'm trying to trade Cabrera in a deal that would bring Texiera to my team, who I would then spin for Ichiro and some other pieces. I'm also looking to add a closer, since I really only have one on my team. I've inquired about Jenks, but I think its unlikely he'll get moved. So, any thoughts on this team that I haven't covered?
