    This is a great point. The point of a deal like this isn't to win the trade, it is to win the World Series. Even if you trade someone who turns out to be the next someone, isn't it worth it if you get a parade?     Foster feels like someone who could have peaked last year as he lacks the pure stuff of almost every other reliever in baseball. It wouldn't shock me if he becomes a lot more mediocre as baseball gets more looks at him.

    It's funny, no one gave a shit about counting all votes when the GOP was purging voter rolls or shutting down voting centers in minority neighborhoods, or when they tried to throw out votes in multiple black and minority districts around the US... It's almost as if there is a theme there.

    I don't believe it is the ability to go late into games, but rather the computers telling TB to take him out. In 2020, he trailed the leading innings man on Tampa by 7 IP. In 2019 he had the injury, but in 2018, he led the team with 180 IP. The Rays just don't have guys going very deep. The only pitcher they had go over 200 innings in the last 5 years was Archer, who hit a max of 201.
