  1. This is the dirty secret. They want to force schools open, so they can force people back to work. Schools are their solution to child care.
  2. If we really are talking about mental health, it is a scary realm. Whatever it is Kopech is looking for or needs, I hope he finds it. While we all know him because he can throw a ball 105 mph, he's just as human as the rest of us and isn't some sort of super-human because of his ability to throw a ball. Hopefully the kid gets whatever he needs for his own well-being.
  3. Schools are open because those countries TOOK THE MEASURES NECESARY TO CUT DOWN ON INFECTIONS AND RATES IN THEIR COUNTRIES.
  4. You must not be familiar with Sox fans. Hell there are ones on here holding grudges over stuff going back to the 1950s. If the Sox fan base is good at anything it is being upset about stuff that happened a long time ago.
  5. I get the feeling that this winter will see the biggest discounts on deals that we will see for the next decade for sure. If we can spent through this, there could be some big bargains.
  6. If I were a betting man, I would be betting that somehow Gio gets Corona, hit by a meteor, or something to prevent this from happening.
  7. There were bears back in the day. They have just all been hunted out. We very rarely get one in our area if it wanders far enough.
  8. I'd be on board for this first, Rockers second as a tribute to the RnR HOF.
  9. All a 3rd party candidate means is a 100% chance of a Trump win. You'd need to have someone who would convince Trump voters to change their votes, and I think even if Jesus Christ himself ran as a 3rd party candidate, they wouldn't vote for him because he was too hippy dippy.
  10. A bigger problem is going to be everyone from Illinois leaving the state for the weekend and coming back home after spending a weekend in crowds without using any common sense. I can tell you from personal observations, between Porter, Beverly Shores, and Michigan City beaches and subsequent shops and eateries, the vast majority of plates were from Illinois, with some locals sprinkled in.
  11. Hope to see some of these late kids explode next year.
  12. Yeah, most of the world has a level of immunity to it because we are all the ancestors of people who survived it.
  13. Before. This was a part of their intake process and neither player had been in camp.
  14. It seems like you need a more direct contact outdoors just based on the circumstantial evidence, Like I said, I am not ready to proclaim it a truth. I still won't go around people at the beach, or if the beach is too crowded, I won't go out at all, but it just seems like an indoor spread is way easier.
  15. If they wanted it out there, it would be out there. Speculating over this seem tabloid-ish.
  16. It has been interesting to watch the outbreaks be worst in the parts of the country that are indoors the most. The South in in their indoors season in the summer, while the north saw it more when it was cold outside. It might just be conincidence, but will be interesting to see if it repeats as we get to fall and winter.
  17. That's got its own cult following for sure. People either love it or hate it. There isn't much in between.
  18. It feels weird to be putting so much effort into figuring out who this is when they clearly don't want it out there.
  19. It's always been a tourist destination all of the way back to the 19th century. Bonus points, but when the SS Eastland rolled over in the Chicago River, the company excursion was a huge annual picnic in Michigan City. Now it has gotten MUCH crazier in the last 15-20 years with the additions of the Outlet mall in the late 80's and then the Casino and other tourism based items in City.
