And we also saw what happened to the Atlanta people involved in the last problems, if this is really that much bigger in size and scope, this franchise could collapse as it would have to rebuild an entire off of the field organization from top to bottom.

You do know that the White Sox never drew 2 million fans before 1981, right? And not even 1.7 million. In fact the 1.6 million we drew this year would rank as the 3rd highest year between 1901 and 1980.

The Sox have a majorly bandwagon fan base. The fans will be back when the team wins.

At this stage, I am pulling for talent. It is stupid to think that picking 7th is better than 3rd when you are talking about 95 losses versus 100. I will worry about wins when the team is competitive again.

Not to mention a few more wins puts us picking worse, maybe even significantly so.

Clicking through the thing that blows my mind is that the Labor Force Participation rate is still 62.7% That is almost exactly the same as it was on election day in 2016, and it is still down 5 full percentage points under the max's achieved under Reagan/Bush/Clinton. This means a full 37% of people would are of the working age are not working, and are probably on a government payment of one kind or another.
