  1. It is also immaterial. When a kid carries a gun into a school, you don't need to debate what his intentions were. They should be treated as a terrorist, because that is what they are.
  2. If his hitting stats are really that good, it probably means he is terrible behind the plate if he is still that low in the minors, and up until now, unemployed.
  3. This is right around 40 days of service just for reference sake.
  4. There are going to be a decent amount of moving parts this winter too. If someone like Avi doesn't get brought back, that makes Davidson's spot more secure. It also makes him more secure if he can pitch too. We'll see.
  5. Honestly, that is the biggest problem for pretty much any project play the Bulls have. There is a decent amount of talent, but like Derrick Rose, it doesn't matter if they aren't on the hardwood.
  6. This needs to be quoted, just so it can be seen again. Revisionist history isn't accurate here.
  7. This. We'll see if it lasts, but if it does, we have a legitimate piece.
  8. I have no problem with Davidson as a mop up reliever, last guy out of the pen situation. I don 't want to see him as a legitimate reliever as that would screw up the bench and the DH situation with an already short bench in the modern AL.
  9. As I said last year, and will say again, the players aren't here yet. It is insane to expect this core to be competitive, and that is exactly what the GM saw.
  10. Eloy, the bullpen, and expectations of net growth from our now more experienced core.
  11. We had the worst year of the rebuild, when the GM said we would have the worst year of the rebuild. Sox fans are upset that a rebuild is happening like a rebuild.
  12. Sox fans who asked for the rebuild now can't handle the rebuild. You just can't make this stuff up.
  13. Sure. That was my biggest fear of a rebuild. But we are here now, and reversing course back into the Kenny Williams era of 2nd and 3rd tier free agents so we can win 5 more games in a non playoff season will hurt more than it will help in the long run. 5 more wins this season would have been the difference between the 3rd and 8th picks in the 19 draft. I don't think that is worth the possibility of maybe getting a prospect at the break. This is quite literally why we need to take advantage of getting as many high quality prospects into the system as possible.
  14. Looks like the MSFT news came after the close, so that isn't showing in the indexes, but if it holds up until the futures open, this will be a HUGE push for the indexes. MSFT is a very large market share of the SP and NASD.
  15. There have been some pretty significant misses in the last couple of days plus real worry about economy because of them.
  16. Googling around, it seems to be earnings and tariffs with interest rates also getting a mention.
  17. The selling really accelerated in the last hour of the day, or long after the bombs were made public. I haven't heard yet what the onus was in the last hour, but I would be kind of surprised if that is why.
  18. Reading between the lines of Rick Hahn's statements about prospect for prospect type of trades, I think he is referring to OF depth getting moved for sure, but I think he is going to look to target something like skilled IF depth (3B/SS in that order) versus anything else.
  19. I mean if the Sox made the playoffs in 1960, he'd totally have season tickets now.
