  1. I am surprised to see this bounce on a 7-2 vote.
  2. Thought it was one of the few OF this year that didn't include at least one little league level defender in Delmonico or Palka. Those guys can all at least defend their positions.
  3. This also probably means Kevan Smith is on his way to Chicago tomorrow.
  4. There is a tweet out there that said Rodon is with the team in Minneapolis. No idea how reliable it is, so I didn't share it yet.
  5. I know it is the eye test, but he looks much less afraid to pitch this year. He was commanding the zone and pounding all four quadrants, seemingly on command. Last year he pitched like he was afraid of contact, and that he didn't believe his stuff could get major league hitters out.
  6. The other side of the coin is that when it comes to the White Sox, I trust their ability to develop a pitcher about infinity times more than a hitter.
  7. FWIW, college pitchers are MUCH less likely to go through the velocity losses versus HS pitchers.
  8. We usually have a thread on draft day for discussion. This has been a very open and general thread for all purposes, this one is more White Sox and draft day(s) focused. This will probably be closed by this afternoon/evening to streamline things.
  9. The 2018 draft day thread is now open!

  11. This is the actual spot to make your draft day discussions, predictions and reactions to the 2018 MLB draft. WARNING, there maybe spoilers in this thread. Read at your own risk! With that said, now let's hear your final predictions... who do the White Sox pick with the #4 pick in the draft today?
  12. It was 75 here today...
  13. But it also goes to why catchers just take longer.
  14. The people who get offered the most money will largely take it. It is why most players wait for free agency.
