  1. There is absolutely NO ONE behind Tim Anderson right now that would even start to inspire conversation about moving Anderson off of SS defensively. Even with a drafting of Madrigal, Tim Anderson isn't going to be the one to move.
  2. I will say the longer the Sox go without being really competitive this season, the more likely they are to deal Abreu away for a lesser return.
  3. Judging by how many pitches he threw, I would agree with that.
  4. It wouldn't make him worse.
  5. When it comes to a reliever, and especially one who looks like he could be a specialist, if someone offers us a Top 100 position player for him, you can put Jace on the plane as far as I am concerned. Yes, he looks like he will be a very good reliever, but in terms of impact on a game, I am trading relievers for position players all day long.
  6. John S 1:29 Can you explain how Singer was assigned a "low" on variance? Kiley McDaniel 1:30 He has a low variance among his possible outcomes. He'll almost certainly be in an MLB rotation pretty quickly and he wont' be an ace. In the draft, the gap between 3rd starter and 5th starter is really small when some guys have a real chance of not getting out of A-Ball.
  7. Because Caulfield
  8. For someone who has done research on this, but Singer seems like the higher floor, lower ceiling pitcher pick at the top of the draft, no?
  9. Dang. Hate to hear that.
  10. Some GM's don't care, others worry about the potential of having one of their former prospects kicking their collective asses for six years or more.
  11. Actually a team with a true need in the pen is the team we are playing right now. Nate as a set up man in Cleveland would be exactly what they need. No idea if they would deal with the Sox or not due to being in the same division.
  12. And he has the potential to even higher than that.
  13. If it was the OF, that would be one thing. But IF, no way. Again, if we had gotten Boston to give us a high level prospect to take on salary, sure that is worth it. But taking him on to try to flip in two short months while blocking guys we really need to evaluate? Nah. The window for Hanley has passed.
  14. He has got to be fired. I mean there is zero alternative here.
  15. The time to do this was if Boston would have sent us something in order to take on part of the contract. Now? No.
  16. The line is extremely unbalanced with a number of really bad hitters, a lot of steals, plus outs on bases, and terrible with RISP.
  17. https://www.theringer.com/platform/amp/nba/2018/5/29/17406750/bryan-colangelo-philadelphia-76ers-twitter-joel-embiid-anonymous-markelle-fultz?__twitter_impression=true This is just crazy.
  18. Why is that?
  19. FOCKER!
  20. Farmer is 100% right that Clevenger balks on every single pitch with runners on. He never completely pauses before he comes home.
  21. 6 innings and no walks. I know he got hit hard at points, but I can handle an outing like this versus what we had been seeing.
