Actually a team with a true need in the pen is the team we are playing right now. Nate as a set up man in Cleveland would be exactly what they need. No idea if they would deal with the Sox or not due to being in the same division.

And he has the potential to even higher than that.

If it was the OF, that would be one thing. But IF, no way. Again, if we had gotten Boston to give us a high level prospect to take on salary, sure that is worth it. But taking him on to try to flip in two short months while blocking guys we really need to evaluate? Nah. The window for Hanley has passed.

He has got to be fired. I mean there is zero alternative here.

The time to do this was if Boston would have sent us something in order to take on part of the contract. Now? No.

The line is extremely unbalanced with a number of really bad hitters, a lot of steals, plus outs on bases, and terrible with RISP.

Why is that?

FOCKER!

Farmer is 100% right that Clevenger balks on every single pitch with runners on. He never completely pauses before he comes home.

6 innings and no walks. I know he got hit hard at points, but I can handle an outing like this versus what we had been seeing.

Thank you Melky!

Well the positive is that he has made it thru 2 with no walks, though it sounds like the D hasn't helped

Bernie is thinking about running again. http://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/389698-ex-campaign-manager-sanders-is-considering-running-for-president-in-2020

Donald, is that you?

IIRC the Sox are responsible for $10 million this year.

I have no idea. What I can tell you is what is in front of me, and that is you have to be essentially an all-star level hitter or better for teams to walk you 15% of the time in the majors.

If he keeps pitching like this, they might even get a small something for him.

Kevan Smith just came off of the MiLB DL, but Brett Austin just went back on to it. No idea how long the Alfredo Gonzalez experiment will last now.
