Eh, for me it is the opposite. I like knowing that they are identifying guys like Vlad and He Who Shall Not be Named in the San Diego system. I like knowing that they are able to ID talent, even if they aren't able to sign them.

And we didn't see Covey throwing 96 last year either.

In the same thread where people are talking about Dylan Covey as an anchor in the rotation going forward, they are pronouncing Giolito and Fulmer dead. Don't get so married to the present.

Again, there aren't really enough starting level catchers to cover MLB, let alone once you start taking players out of a teams depth chart. Catcher is probably the hardest position to fill in MLB. Knocking out a teams starting catcher usually is a tough blow to overcome, but it becomes really awful when both #1 and #3, and maybe #4 or #5 are also out.

Apparently the White Sox were one of the teams close to getting Vlad Jr.

1st AB

The Knights did just bring in two outside OFs, which is a bit strange to me, but I still think the timing will be somewhere between when Robert returns and the after the draft with the start of the half season teams.

See he isn't a racist. He once pardoned a black man!

The problem is every guy with a potentially big ceiling, also seems to have some significant flaws. So while I think we will probably view this draft differently in five years, we will probably also see some pretty high busts in that top 10 range as well.

How many teams do you know that stock 4 MLB caliber catchers in their roster?

That is good news.

Giolito versus Bundy

It is obviously to maintain and extend his tremendous speed.

They still have to pay him, it just goes to MLB and not Castillo.

Our options are currently Alfredo Gonzalez who is hitting .165 in AAA, and Brett Austin who has all of 5 AB this year and a career MiLB OPS of .620.

Dylan gets a shower from Yolmer for his first career ML win.

Adam "Launch" Engel and Dylan Covey, just like everyone predicted.

Yeah, zero chance of Collins.

Real nice play by Yolmer.

He has been pretty respectable.

Adam Engel had 20 hits all year before tonight. He has added 4 to that, and about 30 points to his BA.
