It has gotten a lot of politicians elected and re-elected.

And if anyone wonders exactly how bad that is, he is LAST in all of baseball RF's who have played 50 or more innings. Not only is he last, he is last by 34 FULL RUNS! https://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=rf&stats=fld&lg=all&qual=50&type=1&season=2018&month=0&season1=2018&ind=0&team=0&rost=0&age=0&filter=&players=0&sort=24,d&page=2_30

And if people are curious, the advanced stats are as bad as the eye test. He has a UZR of -55.7!!! right now. That means his defense is costing the team an entire run EVERY THREE GAMES! https://www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=14897&position=DH/OF

He reminds me of Ivan Calderon.

If it happens on the basepaths the odds are near 100% that the base coaches to them to do it.

James Shields versus Kevin Gausman. Manny Machado is 4/5 versus Shields with 2 homers 6 RBI

Everyone keeps mentioning Omar, but he might be 3rd in line. The Sox really like Joe McEwing, and Justin Jirshelle is another who has gotten national attention as a future manager.

This series is always s good.

Tampering with a teams manager? Oh.

Glad to hear it, as I saw it mentioned a couple of times in the game thread last night and wondered what it was all tracing back to. Pure speculation, but no substance.

And here’s his rationale for issuing an intentional walk to Manny Machado with nobody on and one out: And a little tidbit on Joe Girardi: That is it on the Girardi quote? That has nothing about the Sox being interested.

Very happy to see this. Was hoping Hansen would have been pushing towards AAA at this point of 2018, but stuff happens. Hopefully he steps back into where he left off.

This was quite literally the defense of the DNC you have given us on multiple different occasions. But as long as it is against the other guy...

The hypocrisy is amazing.

what was that about refighting previous elections?

The players given up were also way different which has a pretty direct impact on return.

The thing is we have had a pretty awful run of injuries to get here, starting with Charlie Tilson basically missing a year plus of baseball. Then this year our starting RF and LF are missing extended periods at the same time, as is our plan B CF in Ryan Cordell. Most teams would struggle with fielding quality in the OF if you knocked out 3 or 4 of their top 7 players.

This. Pretty sure it wouldn't fly with the union either.

It isn't easy to have a lower Ops then Adan Engel, but Thompson has done exactly that by a decent margin.

Nah lists of names are more fun

Even the Yankees and Dodgers have struggled with not being able to get their network on to the various carriers. With the Cubs ditching comcast/NBC, I can't imagine them being excited to not only lose them, but to have to pay network fees to keep them on tv.
