Deivi Garcia to Brewers
If only Sox fans would provide more water, their coaches, management and owners are carrying all of the water they can!

Should Sox pursue Carson Kelly
In 2024 Martin Maldonado was 41st in MLB framing stats, out of 58. Korey Lee was 52nd. As a team the Sox ranked 29th. Pick your watered down adjective, but 29th speaks for itself.

Soxfest back for 2025
I think the line just started forming.

Non-Tender Day
When you are as payroll blocked as the Baghdad Bobs of the Sox are telling us the White Sox are, $3 million is actually meaningful in who we can and can't bring in. Emotional is having an irrational attachment to a guy who has done nothing of substance in four seasons, and is quite literally one of the worst 1Bs in baseball when both O and D are factored in.

Non-Tender Day
After watching the last few seasons, this is almost laughable on how far down the list of dumb things this franchise has done.

Deivi Garcia to Brewers
Don't worry your pretty little heads. We will be finding the next Garcia and Ortega very soon.

Non-Tender Day
This is the Sox list. For my two cents Nicky, Vaughn, Sheets, De Los Santos, Anderson and Lambert all go.
-
Non-Tender Day
If you want him, non-tender him and sign him back at like half of that price. Quit being stupid with money on mediocre to bad players is a great place to start rebuilding this franchise.
-
Non-Tender Day
Vaughn should be the easiest of the non- tenders, but you know we love wasting extra money on mediocrity.

Austin Slater Signed to MLB Deal
They will add more expensive pitching for sure

Austin Slater Signed to MLB Deal
Well, at least we know he isn't lying.

Potential Crochet Trade discussion Thread
That has quite literally been the discussion, so please try to keep up. So while you pine for peak Andrew Benintendi, I am going to have for a ceiling.

Potential Crochet Trade discussion Thread
The Sox have failed at development, so we should punt on development and add 2nd or 3rd tier guys sounds a lot like the strategy in the last year and a half honestly.

Potential Crochet Trade discussion Thread
MLB had him at #67 on the day of the trade, and #5 in the Red Sox organization. That's a long way from unranked overall and #23 in the Red Sox organization.

2024 MiLB Catch All
This dude has a star starter ceiling he has just GOT to figure out how to pitch an entire baseball season before anyone is going to really go crazy for him.

So you aren't serious here. OK, thanks. That saves me some time.

Potential Crochet Trade discussion Thread
Oh I have no doubt we will get a limited ceiling guy that gets fed to us as a 10 year starter who will fix our [insert positon] problem for the next 10 years. How about his year looks remarkably similar to 2021 Andrew Benitendi, and that shouldn't be a top target in a trade like this.
-
Potential Crochet Trade discussion Thread
He's a mid ceiling guy who has already used up some of his cheapest years. We need to do better than that. Way better than that. Kopech was a super star front line pitcher ceiling. Do you not see the difference?

Potential Crochet Trade discussion Thread
At the time of the trade? You are going to argue that the Red Sox kid is more highly rated than a top 20 ranked guy in baseball we got in Kopech? Coming into 2024 he was ranked #23 in the Red Sox system. Kopech was more like #23 overall. Even in the mid season 24 ranks he was #9 for the Red Sox. I can't even take this seriously.

That sounds like a second or third piece in a potential Cy Young level pitcher trade for most GMs, or for Chris Getz, bingo.

Montgomery story...
If he wasn't good enough to get a September call up with literally the worst team in MLB history, he'd better hit like .500 in spring if he is going to be the opening day SS.

What could have been
Is it reasonable to think the Sox outbid the Yankees for Carlos Rodon at peak value?
-
Potential Crochet Trade discussion Thread
Actually if Bruce understood analogies, we NEED a Tatis Jr trade here where we come out of it with a superstar in the future after trading our veteran. But C for Effort there Bruce.

Potential Crochet Trade discussion Thread
This feels like the part of the season we get all excited by these potential trade ideas only to get kicked in the balls, but someone's #4 prospect, #8 prospect and a 2/3 year experienced and overpaid utility player.

Potential Crochet Trade discussion Thread
If Baltimore WANTS to win a deal, I don't think anyone in baseball can beat them. They have had multiple opportunties to do so, but have refused to so far. If that changes, I will be thrilled. But I just don't see it.
