How many great teams are going to want him?

Jose Abreu back to the MLB soon?
Look I get that we aren't spending this winter, and I totally understand why, but if we are going to dumpster dive can we try to make it someone who could have actual trade value and not just a roster spot?

Rule 5 Protection tomorrow
So either they dont' think much of the relievers, or they don't think anyone else will think enough to put them on a roster.

Or When given a choice between Player A and Player B in the last 1.5 years, we chose the wrong player. But sure. You keep plugging away.

I could see a case for Carela and the three name guys.

Jose Abreu back to the MLB soon?
This is exactly how I have felt about almost every move made in the year and a half.

Rule 5 Protection tomorrow
Realistically if we left all of these guys unprotected, how many would actually be picked. Obviously someone would take a chance on fixing whatever the Sox have screwed up in Colson, but maybe the relievers? Other than that, no one is thinking about keeping these dudes on a roster for an entire season.

Austin Slater Signed to MLB Deal
Because he was just speaking of roster management in terms of leaving spots open for things like the Rule 5 draft which had already taken place by the time they signed Fedde, which literally proves his point. By agreeing ahead of time, but not signing until the 13th it gave the Sox an extra roster spot to work with during the Winter Meetings and the subsequent Rule 5 draft.

If we are going to waste money on "LeAdErShIp" it might as well be with some who is actually well respected.

Potential Crochet Trade discussion Thread
It makes MORE sense for Boston to want a cheaper Crochet the next two years if they spend on Soto, as they will be a a lot more cap blocked.

Austin Slater Signed to MLB Deal
It screams the guy we just hired as Hitting boss recommended him so we signed him.

The Sox should have multiple non-tenders coming up.

Ryan Fuller Hired as Director of Hitting
I hope this dude is a fraction as good as some of you are telling us he is. Though I can't help but thinking if he really was that good, why did Baltimore just fire him.

Take the opportunity and draft the best offensive linemen available with your first two picks at least.

Austin Slater is English for Rafel Ortega.
