Yes this is the logical thing to think, but if you WATCH the effort on the field, it tells an entirely different story, more specifically the guys who already have contracts.
It's a great job if you can get it.
-Don't develop the guys you already have
-Sign guys who suck
-Trade them for guys you can't develop, or who will never be good
-Cry poor because no one wants to watch this
When Sox fans were told all year that we were benching kids so that we could build trade value for these guys, the return is everything. I know that we weren't expecting much, but FFS why did we waste a year of playing him then?
