  1. That's fine. I know not everyone does. I just don't see the players we already lost, plus the development time already lost for kids in the system for the couple of guys that actually do generate some sort of modest return. it makes sense at a place like SS, where we had no one, but the parade of terrible OFs to block guys like Colas, Fletcher and DeLoach never made sense, especially when Getz himself traded for those last two guys. There is a whole list of relievers out there that Getz release who would have also really helped the Sox, such as a Declan Cronin, or even Bailey Horn who we traded a guy for, and then released in short order.
  2. Especially since they had earlier said they were pushing his schedule ahead to try to get him back quicker anyway.
  3. There has been nothing about Getz tenure in his 11 months so far that looks anything different than the previous one, except he completely lacks the patience to wait out a move or a plan. I see it in the Cease deal, the roster churning losing young players who could have helped the team this year in favor of guys we ended up releasing anyway, and even the draft seemingly overpaying guys they didn't need to so as compared to the rest of MLB. Maybe that changes over time, but I haven't seen it so far.
  4. I would first perfer they didn't rush guys, and then second that they didn't put people's medical details into public to make them look bad when it comes to certain players.
  5. I can offer you hiring the next guy in line from the biggest failure in baseball.
  6. Hopefully Captain Panic figures this one out, it's only the future of the franchise at stake. No biggie.
  7. The clash of themes being presented here is my favorite part of this. 1. They anticipated this. 2. He's healthy 3. He can't handle this. I have no idea why the White Sox like to embarass certain players so much, but here we are again.
  8. We could 100% regret that one, but the hamstrings thing gives me pause with the history we have here.
  9. Cags 45 Hagen 46. This is going to be one of those long running Soxtalk debates.
  10. So much for rushing them back before the deadline. I did also like the subtle victim blaming of Moncada where the Sox are saying he's not really hurt, he just thinks he's hurt, so he shut it down that is later on in this article.
  11. Unless that is over 150k per signing, that doesn't count towards the caps. And I would be shocked if we spent a million on those signings. I would guess it is more like 100,000 between the nine players.
  12. Even with dollars attached to this draft class, I still don't get it. Hopefully they prove me wrong.
  13. If that is the best offer, hold him until winter.
  14. I don't see a way for the Astros to make a deal for Fedde if pretty any other team wants him
  15. Is there an actual link to this because I can find nothing.
  16. Not draft the 2nd rounder in favor of a slot college kid.
  17. They haven't been over .500 since 2015 and had lost at least 97 games in 5 out of the last 6 full seasons.
  18. They gonna give that poor man a heart attack of laughter if so.
  19. Cronin was killing it in Miami too. Luckily none of the guys we let walk were regrettable
