  1. After he gets fired in a decade and people blame him for everything.
  2. You realize your entertainment isn't more important than player development, right?
  3. Taylor unavailable (assuming so) after three games in four days. Hicks tries to extend an inning and obviously doesn't have it, gives up hard contact in his second inning. Instead of having Taylor either for the entire 8th, or after Hicks couldn't extend, now we are down to Murphy, and against the Orioles best hitter in high leverage, he hits a bomb.
  4. yeah, I caught a lot of 93s along the way. Trying to figure out if he was holding back for movement, because everything was moving like CRAZY, or if something is up.
  5. Bold of you to show up at all, much like his career since he signed with the White Sox.
  6. I would say that he is much closer to ready than Braden. Not sure I see the need to rush him either, but I would rather see Ant than Braden now. Let these guys force the issue. This is a lost year, let them earn their way in, instead of jacking around with them.
  7. I feel like this would be messing with his development because they are cheap. Why is everyone convinced he is ready TODAY? He's got like 140 AA ABs.
  8. #1: I am not convinced that today is one of the best 25. #2: Even if he was, why would you start his clock in this dumpster fire and waste a year of control for no good reason?
  9. It's really early for him to be called up to a team when it isn't anywhere close to competition. DOn't start his clock until you NEED to.
  10. There is not a good reason for the international players to exist in some different realm than the American ones. The NBA and NHL have figured this out just fine. Create requirements for these players and put them into the general draft with everyone else.
  11. Or in winterball, or something. I mean the whole argument for keeping Benny around is that his bat is still useful. Offensively they put up almost mirror image seasons in 2025, and you still don't know if he could play a defensive position in the OF well enough to help this team. For a team that loves playing guys all over the field, the are weirdly set on NOT doing that with Lenyn.
  12. That's the entire point. You have no idea when you use him, versus when you use him later in the game, you have a MUCH better idea of situational awareness.
  13. No, it is worse because you don't know which ones are garbage appearances when he starts, because you need everyone else after him to hold their weight, including the inferior relievers you are now putting into high leverage.
  14. And maybe we lose the game anyway, and then the pitcher isn't available when we could have really used him most.
  15. A teams best hitters are going to come up 4 times in a game. Do you want them to face your best pitcher with the score 0-0, winning 10-0, losing 10-0, or up 4-3 with the bases loaded in the 7th?
