  1. QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 08:00 AM) Trying to think of a way to convince my girls that going to a sports bar instead of Sinise's would be a better bachlorette party next Saturday. . . Its your party right? Set them straight!!!
  2. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 07:50 AM) HEY ASSMUNCH - DON'T DRINK SO MUCH. Had to type that in caps. Your head hurt? Shhh keep it down. No sleep, plus tons of alcohol equals long unproductive day at work
  3. You guys crashed the site for a little while, and I couldn't have been happier!
  4. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 07:09 AM) Boy - I should predict this crap more often, shouldn't I? Boy oh boy - what a ride. Powerball is $340 million *HINT-HINT*
  5. QUOTE(Rally Crede!! @ Oct 16, 2005 -> 11:27 PM) FlaSoxxJim, I'm contemplating the same thing already man. Trying to find a hotel reasonable enough to afford, considering what I'm gonna be paying for tickets IF I can even get my hands on them. I'll be GLADLY driving to Chicago from South Carolina if I can find a reasonably priced hotel close enough. Jas if you need it, we have a free guest bedroom. It aint ritzy, but its free.
  6. QUOTE(Antonio Osuna @ Oct 17, 2005 -> 01:54 AM) Remember, we're not in Detroit. A friend of mine called me after the game, saying he went to the park near the end of the game to see if anything was happening. There was too much background noise for me to hear him, so apparently there was something going on there. Here in Hyde Park, it was pretty quiet. There was one guy who kept driving around with one of those horns that play songs, beeping it over and over again. Meh, shouldn't you be plotting how we are going to lose game one?
  7. You can't handle the Rally Crede, you can only hope to contain him.
  8. AMERICAN LEAGUE CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 OZZIE IS RIGHT, THE BEER TASTES BETTER WHEN YOU WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. QUOTE(frahungski @ Oct 16, 2005 -> 02:33 AM) Hurry! Go buy a new one!! One? No way, go buy 5 more!!!
  10. I want one. AJ is God. That is all.
  11. QUOTE(Dam8610 @ Oct 15, 2005 -> 05:02 PM) http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/playoffs2005...erry&id=2191910 How about 4 straight games?
  12. If we win another game and Hernandez gets dropped, Gload gets added, IMHO. Maybe Ozzie would take BMac over Vizcaino, but I doubt it.
  13. QUOTE(BlackBetsy @ Oct 15, 2005 -> 05:22 PM) Question, of the guys the Sox have....who do you think they would have to trade to pry Brandon Wood away from the Angels? Shortstop prospects like that are few and far between. The Angels have OC for another 3 years (at $24 million), and may be willing to part with him. If he is that good, he will be playing 2b or 3b when he comes up, or Cabrera will be sent packing.
  14. Make that a Franchise Record 105 wins in 2005!!!!
  15. With the victory over the Angels last night, that gave the White Sox their 104th win of the year. This ties the 1917 White Sox for the most victories in any season, when the post season totals are added in. Just another interesting milestone to a hell of a season. (X 104)
  16. Aren't you the one who has been talking about the fall of Buehrle for years now?
  17. QUOTE(Lefty Of Love @ Oct 14, 2005 -> 06:10 PM) Nobody has mentioned that even though LA has 3 catchers, that it was a questionable move to start both Molina brothers, one as the DH, because it does leave your catching situation thin...there is a reason Paul was a 3rd string catcher and only played in 30 something games...maybe Scioscia shoulda made sure he had a good player behind the plate. http://www.soxtalk.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=41364
  18. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Oct 14, 2005 -> 07:10 PM) Garland is 2-0 with 7 or more days rest. Oh and he's allowed 1 run in 13 innings in those starts. Good call Cheat. He really knew to avoid the sinker last night, and had the best fastball I have ever seen from him. He was 93-95 mph all night last night.
  19. How about a 2005 sequal to 8 Men Out, where a close-knit plucky group of 25 players redeems an entire franchise by bringing a world series trophy back to Chicago? Along the way there are some scares as the team almost blows a 15 game lead, there is excitement as some of the unlikeliest guys play heroes, and even some controversy happens, but in the end the Good Guys win.
  20. QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Oct 14, 2005 -> 03:19 PM) I love how the guy from Indiana is the one with the answer. To be fair I do work in the financial district and have for almost 7 years now. I see more of downtown than many Chicagoians do.
  21. QUOTE(YASNY @ Oct 15, 2005 -> 05:05 AM) Chicago and LA are bigger markets than Houston and St. Louis. Has anyone heard how the ratings have been? Not that it matters, but I'm curious. Game 2's ratings were down 10% vs last years game two, between... oh shoot, who were those two east coast teams???
  22. Good for Frank. Get well soon big buddy.
  23. QUOTE(whitesoxmanager @ Oct 15, 2005 -> 01:30 AM) there were several chisox fans who jumped on a plane and are here for the 3 game set. several people i met came by themselves. i bought my ticket on ebay and really enjoyed my seat. i had to sit by myself in the freakin sea or red. at one point in the game i had tears swell up in my eyes realizing that we may be only 2 more games away from the WS. even though we were all scattered throughout the stadium the best part of the game is when we all got together at the sox dugout after the game and WENT CRAZY AS A SEA OF WHITESOX FANS in front of the interviews and media. thanks to chisoxfn for hooking my longterm whitesox bud up with a ticket. CHISOXFN IS WAY COOL and should be welcomed wherever the hell there is mention of OUR CHICAGO WHITESOX! also want to say that bamadoc got screwed over on his flights from alabama with his son but they made the game just in time & wanted to give a big shout to everyone on SOXTALK that couldnt get out here! QUOTE(SnB @ Oct 15, 2005 -> 10:11 AM) chisoxfn is definitely way cool That cinches it, none of you have ever met Jason, or you would know better.
