I could see it happening. Certian networks have a perception about them. Fox is the "conservative" network, CNN is the "liberal" network etc. If one of those networks got labeled as a "gay" network, I could see the right raising holy hell, and calling up the major advertisers with threats of boycotts in order to get them to pull out.

I would have to correlate that to players who also took a dip in size/weight to correspond with their respective drop off in numbers. If a player had both of those factors, I would assume guilt if I were a GM right now. It might not be right, but you sure as hell can't trust anyone right now.

Big, big difference is that no one will cancel their adverting based on a Coke commericial. Businesses will cancel their advertising based on gay/religious content, and the networks know this. For them this is a $based decesion, with not airing the ads being the safest route for their bottom line. Personally I don't agree with it at all. I think it is hugely hypocratical. It is OK to exploit gays for profits, but when people want to express their opinions about gay lifestyles, then it isn't OK. Its bulls***. If I headed a gay/lesbian group I would be boycotting the s*** out of these networks.

Either of the dumbed down newspapers in Chicago (the black eye or the brown streak) they are utterly worthless. I can't think of any books right now, because usually if I dislike something that much, I quit reading it.

I just want to third the sentiment that Brooks Boyer kicks ass. This guy has been nothing but first class and cool as hell since the first time I talked to him. Brooks has almost singlehandly put a classy public face on this organization.
