  1. You have GOT to see that movie. It is THE funniest Christmas movie ever.
  2. Great work by both of our resident experts
  3. Wow it is amazing how much the "expert" opinion of Reed has changed since he was a "stretch" in the 2nd round. Go JR!!!
  4. Does anyone have any idea about how much cap room Da Bears have left?
  5. You must have an addictive personality. I could have sworn I have seen multiple times that you weren't going to reply to Apu. "I can take just one more drink, I can handle it"

I got this as a forward in an email... enjoy. The Guys' Rules At last a guy has taken the time to write this all down Finally, the guys' side of the story. (I must admit, it's pretty good.) We always hear "the rules" from the female side. Now here are the rules from the male side. These are our rules! Please note... these are all numbered "1"ON PURPOSE! 1. Learn to work the toilet seat. You're a big girl. If it's up, put it down. We need it up, you need it down. You don't hear us complaining about you leaving it down. 1. Sunday sports It's like the full moon or the changing of the tides. Let it be. 1. Shopping is NOT a sport. And no, we are never going to think of it that way. 1. Crying is blackmail. 1. Ask for what you want. Let us be clear on this one: Subtle hints do not work! Strong hints do not work! Obvious hints do not work! Just say it! 1. Yes and No are perfectly acceptable answers to almost every question. 1. Come to us with a problem only if you want help solving it. That's what we do. Sympathy is what your girlfriends are for. 1. A headache that lasts for 17 months is a problem. See a doctor. 1. Anything we said 6 months ago is inadmissible in an argument. In fact, all comments become null and void after 7 days. 1. If you won't dress like the Victoria's Secret girls, don't expect us to act like soap opera guys. 1. If you think you're fat, you probably are. Don't ask us. 1. If something we said can be interpreted two ways and one of the ways makes you sad or angry, we meant the other one. 1. You can either ask us to do something or tell us how you want it done. Not both. If you already know best how to do it, just do it yourself. 1. Whenever possible, please say whatever you have to say during commercials. 1. Christopher Columbus did not need directions and neither do we. 1. ALL men see in only 16 colors, like Windows default settings. Peach, for example, is a fruit, not a color. Pumpkin is also a fruit. We have no idea what mauve is. 1. If it itches, it will be scratched. We do that. 1. If we ask what is wrong and you say "nothing," we will act like nothing's wrong. We know you are lying, but it is just not worth the hassle. 1. If you ask a question you don't want an answer to, expect an answer you don't want to hear. 1. When we have to go somewhere, absolutely anything you wear is fine...Really. 1. Don't ask us what we're thinking about unless you are prepared to discuss such topics as baseball, the shotgun formation, or monster trucks. 1. You have enough clothes. 1. You have too many shoes. 1. I am in shape. Round is a shape. 1. Thank you for reading this. Yes, I know, I have to sleep on the couch tonight; but did you know men really don't mind that? It's like camping.
  7. Property Values and Rents exploded in the last 10 years. Lots of long time residents up there can't afford their property taxes or rents anymore. It wasn't always like it is now.
  8. Funny, I was thinking they were talking about you?
  9. I am moving this topic to SLP.
  10. Soooo how about those Catholics
  11. Yeah but I am a friendly schmuck :fyou
  12. A guy sacrifices his life so someone has the right to call him an idiot. Unbelievable. I guess every paper has their Kotex-Boy who will say anything to draw attention to himself.

Not here, not now. Let it go.
  14. OK one last footnote on the battle royal. I deleted both of the off-shoot threads. Neither served a useful purpose, and it wouldn't be right to delete one, and not the otherone. All right, back to your regularly scheduled debate Signed your friendly admin guy
  15. Damn right I would
  16. Being probably the only person who has met both Steff and PA, let me just say & :puke respectively

No. This is one of the things I like most about Soxtalk, is that the freedom of topics and discusion. Personally I think we all could use a lesson lately (myself included) in respecting others. Make an arguement, but don't make it personally. If you find yourself talking about the person, rather than the topic, there is no need for the comment IMO. Now we do everything we can to allow people to have their say, and always will. I really hate closing threads, and do so with extreme regreatance. Just take a step back and relax people. Someones cyberopinion isn't worth getting upset about. If anyone wants to talk more about this feel free, or if they want to keep their opinion anonymus, PM me. Mike
  18. All right here is the deal. Steff-Alex let it go. I am going to reopen this thread, because there is a lot of good stuff in it, and I think it should go on. If guys want to argue, please keep it PMs.
  19. And just to prove the point, that I am NOT the ONLY one posting here As of just now, this is how many people have at least X number of posts. 15,000-2 6,000 -9 5,000 -14 2,000 -54 1,000 -81 500 -111 100 -199
  20. So out of curiousity, if you present a season ticket at the gate, would get another give away or would they know you already got it, and not give you one?
  21. Meh, he isn't even fit to let your hamsters crap on.
  22. When you are as good as I am... You need all the luck you can get Thanks
  23. I've got my first softball game tommorrow.
  24. Not to you personally, but that arguement is complete BS. Since when was Wrigley put in downtown? Remember the Wrigley neighborhood hasn't always been Yuppified, that basically occured within the last 5-10 years. They seem to draw fine, much further away from downtown than Comiskey. I don't care if they were downtown, people would still find excuses not to go to the games.
