  1. Hey enough the whipping guys, is this a punishment or funtime?
  2. It was a delayed double steal, if Sandy throws that ball to 2nd, Boston scores a cheap go ahead run.
  3. Don't forgive her yet, Mark still needs to get out of this inning first
  4. Two straight hits after one out, and MB is in another jam with runners on the corners.
  5. Damn. Varietek lead off HR ties the game at two, all of that good pitching in the 6th goes to waste
  6. Wait until he screws up, they will be coming out of the woodwork...
  7. Intentional BB to Frank to set up the DP with Maggs at the bat.
  8. Carlos pops out, one down and Frank up, with Alomars on 2nd and 3rd.
  9. Robbie gets down a bunt that gets thrown away, Crede scores Sandy to 2nd. 2-1 WHITE sox.
  10. Joe Crede lead off single into the gap. Sandy puts down a good bunt and Mueller slipped trying to field it, everyone is safe. 1st and 2nd no one out
  11. Steve Dahl the good luck charm in the booth with DJ for those who are getting the local telecast...
  12. I go once in awhile. I dont really like to go down there cuz its so crowed, and i have a couple good casinos right by me without all the hassle. You don't live near Mahoney's Silver Nugget Casino do you?
  13. Wait a minute, you mean that stuff isn't cool to eat anymore?
  14. Alfonseca bumped the ump so hard the crew chief said that he hadn't seen anything that blatent in his 27 years of work. Both the crew cheif and Chip Carrey separately said that the ump got pushed back "10-12 feet" after Alfonseca made contact with him. Alf is going to get a LONG (about 10 games I would guess) suspension. The only thing that saved Alou from meeting the same fate was Kenny Lofton grabbed him and dragged him away after he had been thrown out of the game.
  15. Hopefully Mark steps up for the big game. It seems to me he has a tendancy to lose games with a marquee pitching match up.
  16. Wow a culture more shallow than America???
  17. Thomas was the lead runner at 2nd, and the one I was watching as the play had him in line of sight. Yes, he was just a very few feet off the bag anticipating the ball to be caught, and I really don't know where Maggs was. I've see the infield fly rule applied in the outfield in the past, but that was very shallow, only feet behind the infield. I don't know the rule, but think it s the umpire's descretion for a call. Last night's ball was too deep for the rule to be implemented, but it had the same effect on the runners. I don't think it was bad base running at all, just a bad break in circumstances. Speaking of the infield fly rule, I always have wanted a Sox infielder to purposely drop a pop up when the infield fly is in effect. I'd be willing to bet there are more than a few players who don't know the rule, and would become confused , and would take off to the next base, for an easy double, or triple play. Yeah, but we traded Jimenez a couple of months ago...
