It would be a good start to get him with a Color guy who actually worked with him more.
-
Colson is so odd. He's either Martin Maldonado or Barry Bonds at the plate, it feels like no in between. I wonder what the consistency hang up is?
-
Again, he has to learn how to go 100 pitches. This is the downside of him only going to 50/60 pitches his first two years in the system. It is much easier to pitch when you can always go all out. It is much tougher to go 100/110 pitches and deep into games trying to make your stuff last. Dude is 4/5 starts away from his career high in IP and we are about half way through the season.

No matter what you thought of his technical skills, the kids loved him and they played a much cleaner game than they do now. -
Is “The 78” Dead? Or even more alive? Fire announce plans for SSS

And this IS the kind of stuff the government agencies will help with intrastructure and TIF money to move a project like this of off the books. This site is worth MUCH to them with stuff on it, vs an empty lot. -

If they want to build there, they can build there. We engineer things a million times tougher then this. We built a nearly 2000 foot building in what was the Hudson River a few hundred years ago. They can build a ballpark on an old railyard. -
Pitching I get having some optimism about, but offensively we improved from worst of all time to just historically bad, and a lot of it was from guys who are 1 year stop gaps anyway, and have zero trade value. Slater and Tauchman putting up a little over league average numbers does nothing for the future of this franchise. Maybe you can squint and see league average out of a couple of young guys, maybe a little better from Teel. That still leaves us finding 7/8 hitters in the next few year.

Official NBA 25-26 Thread

The Bulls are trash. -
Yes. Literally no matter what level of belief, or not, you have in Getz, or anyone else in this organization, he has the anchor of Jerry around his neck. While the former crew was all pretty awful at their jobs by the end, so many problems were created by the boss. Most notably the signings Jerry won’t allow, and inserting himself into daily operations by insisting on Tony instead of a real manager. Even the Getz hire was because he had Jerry’s ear and filled him with what he wanted to hear. If you are going to succeed as an org you find good people and let them do their jobs. Considering Tony is still roaming the system, does it sound like that is happening? Eh. With many of the same oddities around roster management and line up construction looking identical to the previous regime, I am sure not convinced Chris even has control.
-
Again, that is NOT the same thing as ONLY GETZ AND JR ARE TO BLAME. You can feel anything you want, or read into it whatever you like but there is not a single post of mine that states only those two are to blame. Gaslight me personally all you like, but all of the non sequitors in the world still do not make your original statement true. Find a post that actually states it, or give it up. If you would actually like to walk away from this, please do, and we can pretend it never happened, and instead get back to a decent conversation.
-
I mean you could start with not replying in a way looking for problems.
-
And again, none of this actually states that I, or anyone else, has ever blamed JUST Getz and JR. This still is not true. It is frustrating when people who don't agree with you just literally make s%*# up.
-
I mean no matter what was actually said, an apology is always a good starting point.
-
As you talk about people treating you like you are stupid in another thread, you are literally here making stuff up. No one has ever said this is all the fault just Getz and JR. No one. This little move of the goalposts still doesn't change that.
-
This is complete misrepresentation of people's opinions. No one thinks it was just Getz and JR.

Or the back injury caused him to make swing changes to reduce pain. Or if his back is bugging him again.

The White Sox have $17 million the books for 2026, assuming they turn down Perez and dispose of Luis Robert somehow (or or decline option). Of course they will "spend" as they have an A's like payroll set for next year with literally only Benintendi on as a longer than this year deal. It's not hard to envision a scenario where they spend a few bucks on a mid tier OF, corner IF, and a back end SP or two to fill up some holes, but this team isn't going to SPEND as in going out and hitting nine figure deals.

Tim Anderson was another who was just a different player after playing through his injuries.
