  1. Yoan went through the same thing. Eventually if you aren't Steroid Barry they are going to make you hit. Guys have to figure out selective aggression and ambush hitting. Smash a few first pitch fastballs and that will quickly end.
  2. Stop personally attacking other posters. No reply needed.
  3. It's really not though. MLB is tough. Pitchers adjust. Then we see what the kid is made off.
  4. I am sure he will be sent down for someone else's DFA shortly.
  5. As of now I would guess Shane Smith. There are WAY more good corner players and you need a ton of pitchers
  6. In a case like this, you need a front office who backs you up and gives a consequence to the offending player. Suspension, send down etc. But if you have half of the front office going one way, and the other half plotting a coup, meanwhile Jerry figuring out how to install his buddy in a power position, well you have seen how that works out.
  7. And Rick didn't have a say in hiring Tony, very obviously.
  8. And guess who is still roaming the system as a "special advisor"?
  9. I know Hahn has become shorthand for blame around these parts, but to be frank what has changed since then? It's been almost two years now, and you can only point the finger at so many soon to be ex-players. Why are we still not able to call up a kid from the minors that we can trust and/or who has a grasp on fundamentals? Why do we keep having to look outside of our minors to find guys who already know how to work hard? Over these last couple of years, why has no veteran had a turn around since all of these changes took place? There is a lot of talking, fingerpointing, and PR releases, but I still see the same picture.
  10. I remember this question being asked, and was looking up the Sox front office for something else, but there might be some other interesting names listed on here.
  11. I thought the story there was he might not have been told the whole truth there?
  12. Hopefully finally having some TV money flowing actually stabilizes their bottom line a bit.
  13. Look, Hawk was known as a homers homer, but he at least knew when to shut up. He wouldn't say much negative, but he also wouldn't just make up s%*# to be positive about. He would literally just be quiet.
  14. Right forearm strain screams TJS, which is really bad because he just had that problem.
  15. Jerry: [mumbles] "My balls itch!" Josh "What did he say?" Chris "You heard him, he wants his Palsich! CALL HIM UP!" Josh "Yes SIR!"
  16. And they seem to have zero ability to teach any of the mental aspects of the game, because no one ever seems to be baseball smarter after being here. In fact it is quite the opposite.
  17. This is pretty much any of the clones connected to this franchise. They all repeat the same things, the same way, over and over again.
  18. Chris Getz is the diminishing marginal utility champion!
