So they are stopping Baldwin from being in the majors because he has a flaw that MiLB pitchers don't exploit or expose, meaning he won't get practice to fix it.
Brilliant.
Look, you can doubt all you want, but the actions speak louder. Jerry already agreeing to sell has put a cap on what he can sell this team vs if they were just to wait until he died. If he didn't need a capital infusion, he wouldn't be selling.
Yeah, the fact they are building 20k plus stadiums for pro soccer in multiple US cities right now tells me soccer has exploded in popularity in the last 30 years. Sure it might not be on par with the big 4, but it HAS grown a ton.
He quite literally just agreed to sell the team and it was disclosed that they are taking out loans for covering operating costs. You don't take out operations loans if you aren't losing money.
The Sox are losing money hand over fist and are much more worried about capital projects versus getting a few more people to game this year.
Do me a favor. Forget about 2025 and 2026 as competitive seasons. It isn't going to happen. Give it up. There isn't going to spending. There isn't going to be additions. There isn't going to be hope. The Empire isn't striking back until after a CBA and/or a stadium announcement, and that is at the very least.
