This is also a franchise that has almost moved multiple times. I know this is supposed to scare everyone, but we haven't been away from 35/Shields since 1909, yet this franchise is already in imment danger. The fan base is gone. It's at modern lows. This stadium has been a complete failure.

Thorpe actually probably hurt the worst, as he was a guy who had decent potential depending on how much you believe that change can play in the majors. and now you not only lost that development time, but also a year to a year and a half of control for nothing.

So the team IS setting the off season regiment, and working with the players on them. Ope.

And that will be 4 billion, as it will be 2 teams. None of these guys are turning down a check for ~133 million dollars. That's why expansion.

But why? Like, what are the Sox "holding out" for? It's a lease for an already existing stadium, which has a historic set of precedents to base it on. The only reason it would make sense is if the Sox are angling for a short term lease with an eye on still getting a stadium done somewhere else, and the ISFA doesn't want that, especially already losing the Bears.

As an admin, in general I don't have a problem with people throwing sand in the sandbox. It is par for the course in a place like this honestly. It irritates me more when people throw sand, and then complain incessantly when people throw sand back. If you are going to call people trolls, don't then go troll other people.

This organization has talked about moving literally since the 1960s. They were all but moved in the 80s too. Between the Milwaukee games, the story of Charlie Finley and the franchise swaps, and the St Pete Sox, this is nothing new.
